LIVE from Orlando

I like the look of the drinks in Margaritaville :thumbsup2
Is that where the food and cream pics are from also?

Hearing a few good reports from Steak N Shake, may give it a try next time

The first two food pics are margaritaville. Rest of food and icecream plcs are friendleys on i drive.

Wher's Ben and Jerry's? That's my idea of heaven! :rotfl2:

you like chicago style deep dish? i can't stand it - i went to grad school in chicago....way back then, the only pizza that could be had in the vicinity of the school was deep dish - total yuck!!
i was desperate for good old thin crust pizza, but none to be had, at least in the area of chicago where the university was located.....

Never had one but looks good. Nearest I have had is what AA used to serve on their flights, really liked that.

These are a particular favourite of DS but look like a heart attack on a plate to me. :scared1: Giordano used to be a regular stop for us (Formosa Gardens area) but LONG waits (I know the pizza takes 45 mins to bake but it's always way longer) and mediocre, and in our opinion over priced for what it is, food has finally seen DS agree to give it a miss.

Loving the updates and photos. Thank you. :)

Dismal fail at a live trip report!

Have been packing lots in - weather has been great.

Friday we had a later start and had breakfast at Friendly's - used a BOGOF coupon off valpak.com no problem. Spent from 11-4 in Seaworld. DD did all the rides in shamu happy harbour several times as walk on and we watched clyde & seamore and pets ahoy.

We finally made it to Texas de Brasil and had a great meal. We had a coupon for a free meal for DH's birthday and they only charged $5 for DD- cost $65 plus tip. DD discovered she loved the bacon wrapped filet mignon!

Saturday we had a 7am adr at chef mickey - we all enjoyed it (cost $90 inc tip)

Went to boogy creek for an airboat ride using the groupon deal -east lake camp location. Great ride and we saw several gators really clearly. DD suprised me by being the first to volunteer to hold the small gator at the end for a photo - we did buy it as she looks so pleased with herself.

Had lunch again at five guys and some shopping at fl mall and lake buena vista outlets.

Went for a swim - hotel pool still too cold for me but DD enjoyed.

Had a great night at campfire singalong at ft wilderness - met chip and dale and toasted some marshmallows.

Enjoyed a late dinner at perkins - had a BOGOF coupon for signing up to the email club - cost $21 plus tip. I had the turkey with mash and mac and cheese - hit the spot.

Sunday - another later start. Tried mimi's cafe at hunters creek - had a BOGOF coupon for joining the email club. Was very busy as it was sunday - wasn't wowed but know alot like it so would give it another go. Cost $21 plus tip.

Made it to Seaworld just before midday- very busy as it has the extra halloween stuff at weekends.

We paid the extra to feed the dolphins - $7 each. Saw A'lure for the first time which Ireally enjoyed. Also saw blue horizons and the sesame street halloween show - squeeled it's the count when he ran past - DD has no idea who any of the characters are except elmo!

We shared 2 shamu icecream sundaes - they come in a shamu bowl you keep - only 40c dearer than a cone - a great deal. Started a trend - everyone in line got one after they saw ours.

Left before closing at 7 and ate at Flippers pizza on westwood blvd-ate in this time. DD enjoyed the kids pasta alfredo.

Monday - we had breakfast in the condo then a full day 9-5 at I of Adventure and Universal.

Made the dash to Harry potter with the crowds. Queued about 25 mins for forbidden journey - then it broke when we were about 10 from the front! Waited about 25 mins more then they announced no idea how long it would be. DD was crying so I left the line as did lots of people. Was really unimpressed with the staff - asked about coming back later and they just shrugged and said we would have to line up again so nearly an hour wasted.

DD did pteranon flyers twice which she loved.

I then went on forbidden journey as a single rider whilst DH took DD to suess landing. Wait was 45 mins but single rider once I found the steps to go up was a walk on. Enjoyed the ride - DD would have hated it so all worked out I guess.

Suess was a walk on - DD did all the rides 3 times and met some characters. Was a lovely day - hot and sunny.

About 3 we went over to Universal - back toben and jerry had a vermonster sundae for $14.99 between us- it was huge. then DD put her swim stuff on and had a good play in the water at curious george playground.

Had dinner at fuddruckers at crossroads at DH's request. He hada 2lb burger which he finished. I had a third of a pound. had a coupon for joining the email club so cost $23 plus tip.

Finished off with a shopping trip to the outlets on vineland-got some good bargains in the disney character outlet - I got a hoody rduced from $55 to $12.99.

Bed at 11.45 - not the best preparation for an early start to busch gardens in the morning.

Today - tuesday - had a really good day a Busch gardens.

Hadn't been before but we all enjoyed it. Had breakfast at bob evans enroute - had a BOGOF coupon for email club sign up so cost $17 plus tip.

Traffic was light - we made it before opening. weather was lovely - hot and sunny.

Did the train ride around the park, skyride and enjoyed seeing the tigers and gorillas.

DD loved the air grover coaster in the sesame street area - I went on it 4 times with her then she did it about 20 more times on her own - was a walk on. Really quiet at busch.

Ate at manny's again on 27 on way back - called ahead so only waited 15 mins. Enjoyed my steak again. Was kids eat free night - cost $38 plus tip.

Had a quick look at target at posner park at jnc of I4/27 before heading back to the condo.

Thanks for the updates (I see you was up early & typing away!)

It all sounds like a wonderful holiday & you certainly went prepared with signing up to the email clubs beforehand.:)

We too love SW and try to spend a few days there as we can amble around that park and enjoy the shows and animals.
