Hi everyone!!!!!!! Our son brought his laptop so I am writing my first live report. We're currently at BCV. We arrived yesterday after two nights at the Poly. I LOVE BCV!!! We stayed here last summer and fell in love with it. We still feel the same. We are on the 4th floor room 468 facing the quiet pool and canal. Didn't get the dedicated 2 br. this time, but the lock-off is fine too. It if a further walk to and from compared to last year but we still love it here. Our room was ready at 1:30 yesterday about an hour after checking in.
So far the weather has been great and the crowds too. Sure it is hot, but we leave the parks around noon time to head back for the rest of the afternoon. The kids love SAB and so do we. We have all decided that we could easily come to WDW now and spend a week here at BCV in the summer and never go to one of the main parks.
Now if I had it to do all over again..we would have skipped the POLY for the first two nights. I immediately missed my 2 br. villa. We did have two connecting rooms, but I am DVC spoiled by these 2 br. villas. We stayed at Poly 11 years ago and again this week for 2 days. That is probably enough for me. I just love MY DVC!!!!! Also, I am beginning to NOT like split stays. We were at Poly for 2 nights and we here for 5 and then moving on to AKV for 2 nights. I should have done 6 here and at least 3 at AKV if I was going to split. I have decided splits are fine if you can stay for 2 weeks (like last summer) and split between two resorts to get "two different" vacations.
Staying at the Poly reminded me of past trips when we would barely stay in our rooms. We arrived on Tuesday at the Poly around 1:00, grabbed lunch at Capt. Cook's before heading over to the BAY LAKE TOWER presentation/tour. Looking back...we could have skipped this too. We went with our good friends who are also DVC memebers and we all decided unless we were going to add on there.....it took up too much time. We were tied up there for 3 hours easy. Then we had dinner ressies to get to right after at WCC. So by the time we got back to the Poly it was 9:00 and we had not even gotten into our rooms yet.
So we should have skipped BLT presentation. We did watch Wishes from the beach. That was nice.
Today went we went to AK and the crowds were not bad at all. We saw no long waits at all. We were able to ride everything by 10:30. We had lunch at Flametree and then headed back to BCV. The boys are at the pool, hubby at the gym, dd asleep on the couch. LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!! We are having a great trip with our friends....and being DVC members.....makes these trips PURE HEAVEN!!!!!
Tonight we are going over to Epcot in the evening. Love that we can just walk over!!!!
