Hi everyone!!!!!!! Our son brought his laptop so I am writing my first live report. We're currently at BCV. We arrived yesterday after two nights at the Poly. I LOVE BCV!!! We stayed here last summer and fell in love with it. We still feel the same. We are on the 4th floor room 468 facing the quiet pool and canal. Didn't get the dedicated 2 br. this time, but the lock-off is fine too. It if a further walk to and from compared to last year but we still love it here. Our room was ready at 1:30 yesterday about an hour after checking in. :)

So far the weather has been great and the crowds too. Sure it is hot, but we leave the parks around noon time to head back for the rest of the afternoon. The kids love SAB and so do we. We have all decided that we could easily come to WDW now and spend a week here at BCV in the summer and never go to one of the main parks.

Now if I had it to do all over again..we would have skipped the POLY for the first two nights. I immediately missed my 2 br. villa. We did have two connecting rooms, but I am DVC spoiled by these 2 br. villas. We stayed at Poly 11 years ago and again this week for 2 days. That is probably enough for me. I just love MY DVC!!!!! Also, I am beginning to NOT like split stays. We were at Poly for 2 nights and we here for 5 and then moving on to AKV for 2 nights. I should have done 6 here and at least 3 at AKV if I was going to split. I have decided splits are fine if you can stay for 2 weeks (like last summer) and split between two resorts to get "two different" vacations. :goodvibes

Staying at the Poly reminded me of past trips when we would barely stay in our rooms. We arrived on Tuesday at the Poly around 1:00, grabbed lunch at Capt. Cook's before heading over to the BAY LAKE TOWER presentation/tour. Looking back...we could have skipped this too. We went with our good friends who are also DVC memebers and we all decided unless we were going to add on there.....it took up too much time. We were tied up there for 3 hours easy. Then we had dinner ressies to get to right after at WCC. So by the time we got back to the Poly it was 9:00 and we had not even gotten into our rooms yet. :sad1: So we should have skipped BLT presentation. We did watch Wishes from the beach. That was nice. :thumbsup2

Today went we went to AK and the crowds were not bad at all. We saw no long waits at all. We were able to ride everything by 10:30. We had lunch at Flametree and then headed back to BCV. The boys are at the pool, hubby at the gym, dd asleep on the couch. LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!! We are having a great trip with our friends....and being DVC members.....makes these trips PURE HEAVEN!!!!! :cloud9:

Tonight we are going over to Epcot in the evening. Love that we can just walk over!!!!

First, YAY! :cool1: Denise is at Disney and still loves BCV!! :lovestruc I cannot wait to see it for myself in just over 3 weeks!! :woohoo:

Second, will she ever listen?!:confused3

Third, did u get the grocery delivery? Which service did u end up using? How did it work out? Did u get beer delivered too? I called both GG and WeGo yesterday...trying to decide between...need to figure it out SOOOON!!

Fourth, did u get your flight upgrades???:confused3

Finally, keep us updated!!! We are living thru you right now!!!:goodvibes

Wow! wish I was there.

I know exactly what you mean and exactly how you feel:goodvibes We barely visit the parks anymore except during F&WF.

Love to hang out at the resort and in our Villa. It really is like a 2nd home, only better:goodvibes

Have a great trip and have a drink on the balcony for me! (with or without :)

PS, it's not too late to call MS and see if you can extend your stay at BCV if you are truly averse to moving again. I know i would after 1 move already.

Sounds like I need to give BCV a try! I have stayed at Yacht club pre-DVC and BWV since but haven't tried BCV yet. SAB and the closeness to Epcot makes it a desirable venue for sure.

Keep the updates coming, we are staying at BCV starting next week, our home resort is SSR, so this is our first stay at BCV. Thanks

YES LeAnne.........I should have listened to you. NEVER again will I combine a resort stay with a DVC stay. You were RIGHT!!!! :thumbsup2

We used Garden Grocer and they did MESS UP. However they are supposed to swap out their mistake sometime today. Hmmmmm it is almost 6 ..maybe I should call bell services. I think they are more expensive than Wego....so maybe go with them. We stopped at SOG yesterday and bought beer. :thumbsup2 Our friends are here so they drove us from Poly to BCV and we stopped at SOG.

I won't be able to upgrade until Tuesday at midnight. We fly home on Thursday.

The kids LOVE SAB...the boys never want to leave. We have to plead and beg. :rotfl: This is the best place for families with kids. The pool is awesome and they play all kinds of neat games with the kids.

We are heading over to EC in a few minutes to grab counter service somewhere in the showcase. You will love love love BCV!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling the next time we stay here.....IT WILL be without even hitting any of the parks. Well....EC would be hard to pass up though. It is so nice walking over. I love the boardwalk area. :goodvibes

Oh the mugs are also wonderful for the kids and hubby. Britt and I only drink water so we didn't get them. They are well worth having.

I'm so pleased to be reading your LIVE trip report. Glad you are loving BCV. I hope that next summer we can be there - like you, I think I could stay there all week and never visit a park (but you are right, it's too tempting to have Epcot right there within walking distance!) Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay and thanks for taking the time to let us know how things are going!

Sounds like so much fun. Have a wonderful time and I am also spoiled by my DVC timeshare accommodations. I even find the studio so much more spacious even if it is the three of us. In December we'll be staying in a dedicated two bedroom for the first time and I can't wait:santa:. I hope I can go back to a studio after that:scared1:.

Hi Neighbor! We are from Maryland too and are currently staying down the hall from you at BCV! We have a view of the Land in Epcot. We stayed at SSR for our first 2 nights and had a great view of Downtown Disney. We are waiting now to see Illuminations from our room! Have a great time! :yay:

Sounds like a wonderful trip so far!! I hope to stay at beach club when my grandsons are bigger!! Looking forward to more!!

We are OKW owners and are considering staying at BCV in January. Who knows if it will be warm enough to use SAB. I am just concerned about the fact that BCV is much smaller than OKW in a 2 bedroom villa. Looking forward to the rest of your report to keep me interested in BCV.

We left BCV 2 days ago and are back home. While standing outside waiting for the Magical Express Bus to take us to the airport I told the wife to hang on a second. I walked back in the lobby to just to look around one more time and say good bye. We are already discussing next year. Have a great time. :thumbsup2

Wow - 2 Reports!!

If anyone goes to Animal Kingdom - (or if you remember) Can you report on the Fast Pass "distribution" system?

The orlando sentinal reporter blogged about Disney trying a "centralized fast pass system at Animal Kingdom"

no details - there is a thread on the theme parks board - but no one has reported seeing it - or using it - or if it has started - or where its located!!

so if you think about it - can you let me know???

TIA

Thanks for the live report! :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful time!!! :dance3: We stayed at BCV last year for F&W Fest and loved, loved, loved the location. Our home is BWV, so it's just as close to Epcot... but not having to walk up the big hill to get to BWV at the end of the night was a plus... :rotfl: (I'm getting old! ;))
