Hello! So glad you are enjoying your stay. We will be there this Spring. Since you are there could you tell me if you request to stay near lobby and an elevator (medical issues for family member) what would the view be and how large is the resort?

We are heading over to EC in a few minutes to grab counter service somewhere in the showcase.

One of our favorite things about BCV. Although one DD will miss her "dose" of the McD's counter.

Hi Neighbor! We are from Maryland too and are currently staying down the hall from you at BCV! We have a view of the Land in Epcot. We stayed at SSR for our first 2 nights and had a great view of Downtown Disney. We are waiting now to see Illuminations from our room! Have a great time!

WELL I am not the best person to ask about views. This is our 2nd stay here. I requested upper floor facing pool and got it. Our friends who are here...are on the opposite side facing the canal and the parking lot. We were much closer to the elevators last year than this trip. Maybe you could post another thread asking about views. Our friends can see a bit of spaceship earth too.

Wow - 2 Reports!!

If anyone goes to Animal Kingdom - (or if you remember) Can you report on the Fast Pass "distribution" system?

The orlando sentinal reporter blogged about Disney trying a "centralized fast pass system at Animal Kingdom"

no details - there is a thread on the theme parks board - but no one has reported seeing it - or using it - or if it has started - or where its located!!

so if you think about it - can you let me know???

We were at AK yesterday. We got fast passes for EE and that was it. We walked on most stuff including Kali. We were done by 10:30 with the rides. We did skip safari this time. Now when we walked in the gate......there was a cast member that had a stack of fast passes for the 10:00 Lion King show. That was the only thing different that I noticed. The crowds are down so far for us compared to the last two summer trips.

You will love it here. SSR is also our home and we do love SSR too but We LOVE LOVE LOVE BCV especially for summer trips.

Yes I must have missed it when it was reported on Dis. My sons love to get nuggets and fries at Mc D's at EC. Last night we went over to EC and headed to Mc D's and found out they left there 3 months ago. They still have food there...and my youngest son did get the nuggets and fries but they were the same type as anywhere else in the park.

Okay we headed over to EC for counter service dinner. We like to do this because we can split up and get what we want. My daughter and I enjoy eating at Mexico's and we found out last night....THEIR MENU CHANGED LAST WEEK!!!!! I was shocked!!!! There was a couple in front of us and they said they ordered off the old menu last week. The cast member told us "It is just like that Big Brother show.....expect the unexpected". They ONLY have 2 entree's to choose from unless you get the nachos. They kept those. I got the carnitas burrito and didn't care for it. IT was more like a wrap with a wheat maybe tortilla.....not sure. So first we hit Mc D's for the boys and found out they were no longer there. Then we found out the menu changed at Mexico. We went into Mexico to ride the boat ride and looked at the menu in there....it is different too.

We strolled around the countries, listened to a concert "Sounds of the Supremes" and my husband and youngest did single rider line for Test Track. The crowds are down and EC was not crowded last night. We watched Illuminations at the bridge between France and UK. IT was SOOOOOO NICE TO WALK OUT THE GATE AND BE HOME SO FAST!!!!!!

The boys hung out on the beach for a bit ......the movie was going. My daughter and her friend went around the boardwalk for a while and then hit the beach again. IT is so nice to have entertainment for the kids at night. :'

This morning we split up. My husband and our boys went to Blizzard Beach and my daughter and I went to EC with our friends. Again, NO CROWDS. We walked from the back gate and were in Test Track at 9:05. My friend got fast passes for all of us for Soarin. We were able to get a new set of fast passes at 9:42 I think. SO while in Mouse Gears we sent someone to get another Test Track set. At 10:25 there was only a 20 min. wait for Soarin and we were once again able to get another set of fast passes at 10:25. IT was crazy!!!

We had lunch in the Land. It was good but I wasn't feeling well...felt kinda feverish all morning....maybe from all the sun this trip. Started feeling very sluggish so I headed back to the resort and our friends and Brittany stayed to use the fast passes for Soarin and Test Track before heading back. I feel better now that I am chilin in the villa.

Oh let me add.....they let the back gate people in first apparently. We were almost to Test Track when we heard the rope drop announcement and count down. That is why we got in Test Track so fast.

We left BCV 2 days ago and are back home. While standing outside waiting for the Magical Express Bus to take us to the airport I told the wife to hang on a second. I walked back in the lobby to just to look around one more time and say good bye. We are already discussing next year. Have a great time.

We love the the atmosphere here. Just love it. IT is the perfect summer resort. I love the feeling here. I feel like we are at a seaside resort somewhere off the New England coast.

Question about the boardwalk-are the Y and BC and the BWI all connected to the same boardwalk? Or do you need to take some sort of transportation from the BC over to the BWI?

We love the the atmosphere here. Just love it. IT is the perfect summer resort. I love the feeling here. I feel like we are at a seaside resort somewhere off the New England coast.

Now THAT is exactly what I have been waiting to hear!!! The last time we were at WDW, we stayed at the WL, which was beautiful! But... we're from Ohio, and if I go to FL, I want it to feel like a beach vacation!!!
BCV are sounding more and more perfect by the minute!!!

Question about the boardwalk-are the Y and BC and the BWI all connected to the same boardwalk? Or do you need to take some sort of transportation from the BC over to the BWI?

The BW Inn and Villas are the only hotel to have the "boardwalk" area with the games and entertainment. However, YC, BC, BW, and S/D all connect on a walking path around the lake. BW is just on one side of the lake, so you can walk between all these hotels. You do not need transportation to get over to the boardwalk section with the games and entertainment. You can, however, take the boats that run across the lake if you feel like it. It just takes a lot longer than walking in my opinion. I hope that makes sense!

Totally makes sense! The kids would probobly love taking a boat across the lake! Thanks for sharing that info!

Last night we went to ESPN before heading to EC. I thought it was okay. We ate there two summers ago and I thought the same. We got caught in several torrential down pours tonight when we were leaving ESPN and at the start of our cruise around the showcase. That killed some time ducking in and out of shops. My youngest son did the Kim Possible game. That was cute but because it kept raining the first hour off and on.....it made it a bit more difficult. My older son loves to get candy/snacks in Japan so my husband and him spent some time over in Japan while my daughter and I did the Kim Possible thing with our younger son. This was the first time rain affected park time for this trip. SO not bad at all!!!

We ended up doing Test Track with fast passes from earlier in the day and spaceship earth. We ran into a DVC guy that worked the Kiosk at ASMU back in Nov. He was really cute according to my daughter. Well he was at ASMU on Thanksgiving night the one night we stayed there after 7 nights at SSR. There was NO ROOM AT THE INN so to speak at SSR for that night so we spent our last night at ASMU. We hated it. After Chef Mickey's we went back to the resort and he was working the kiosk. She and I ended up talking to hiim for about 1 1/2 hours that night. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL Well he was at the kiosk right over in FW near the bathrooms heading towards TT. He immediately recognized us and we chatted a while. My daughter and her friend spent about 20 min. talking to him before the park closed. He was really nice. Well we are off to DTD to shop and the guys all left a while ago for Typhoon Lagoon. MORE LATER........

When are u doing T-Rex? Did GG fix your grocery order? I'm still futzing with who to use for ours.... Is it pretty hot? It's finally summer up here this week... Gosh I'm getting excited!!!

It is one big loop really. BCV is closer to the gates of EC. BWV has the closer restaurants and shops. There are a couple of nice hills going to and from BWV each way!!! My friend and I walked to Spoodles one night to pick up pizzas for all of us to eat by the SAB and we forgot about that hill. LOL Not bad though.....but when it is still HOT and are carrying several pizzas.....it seems worse. There is also a boat that goes across but we have never used it.

Yes they did and they didn't pick up the other stuff. We dropped it off as requested and then that night.....the cast member brought out all of it again with the replacement stuff. LOL We told him to keep it and see if they pick it up...if not consider it his. I think I could have gotten the stuff I did cheaper had we done our usual stop at Publics. It is marked up some. Maybe try Wego!!!

We are going to T Rex on our last night at AKV. We move over for our 2 days on Tuesday. So Wed. night we have a ressie with our friends.
