Ok So we have a early am ADR at Boma in Dec!!! and for everyone has told me the easiest way to get there from POFQ (at this time of day) is a cab ride.

My question is about a little one in a cab? We have a 2 1/2 year old (she will be at the time of travel). If we let the cab company knwo will they bring a car seat for her? or will we need to have ours? Or what is the best way to go about this?:goodvibes

Thanks

You can request a car seat, but there's no guarantee that it will be safe or clean. You could take your own, but then you'd have to lug it around all day. Or, you could take the bus, but you would need to leave earlier.

I would just take the bus.

Thanks, but what time do the buses start running? We will need to get from POFQ to the AKL for a 8am ADR.

An 8am ADR at Boma is going to be tough to get to at that hour. The buses, to the parks, start running around 6:30. You could get out to the AK bus stop by 7. Then, when you get on the bus, ask the driver if there will be a bus to AKL at AK so you can make the transfer. The driver may very well offer to drop you at AKL on his way out of the area. If not, at least he can give you the info you need.

We took a cab in 2009 with my 4 month old grandson and my daughter just held him, like you would on the bus. It costs about $20 to go from one resrt to another but is SO CONVENIENT!

:sad2:

I couldn't imagine doing that...ever. On top of it, it's illegal, to the point I'm shocked the taxi driver allowed it, I would think that would be a big fine if not a suspension.

:sad2:

Thanks for the info!!! And yeah we would not ride in the cab without a car seat.:goodvibes

I hope you're joking.
