Little mermaid The Ride?

Oh I would love this! It looks so awesome...they should really expand the Ariel's Grotto and add this ride someday...I think it would be a hit. (at least with me!) We can wish can't we? :wizard:

Is there any reason as to why it was never built?

The ride was designed for EuroDisneyland (now Disneyland Paris) back in the early 1990s along with a Beauty and the Beast animatronic show. Both were to be part of a phase two of park development, but the park began with such poor financial sucess that the phase two attractions were cancelled and bigger draw attractions like the Indiana Jones coaster and Space Mountain were greenighted instead. It would be cool to see this finally surface in the parks (no pun intended), but even if it never did, at least it's on the DVD.

they were originally going to put it in disneyland paris, but they aren't. we watched the same thing last night. it looks awesome!
hope they put it in at disney world! :thumbsup2

That looked awesome! Thanks for the clip! They sooo should have put it in. Maybe so many people will like, they will decide to add it.

We watched the ride on the DVD. It looks awesome and TLM is my all time favorite Disney movie. When I told my DD7 that they never built the ride, she asked why not. I said money, probably. She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Mom, Disney OWNS money!!"

Out of the mouths of babes. :p

My daughter (will be 4 on Nov 15) makes whoever is with her when watching the DVD sit next to her on the floor and "ride the ride" with her. My Mom and I think that they need to take the ride concept and change it to "An under sea party with Ariel and Friends" or something like that. Too much emphasis is on the scary sections. My daughter always covers her ears on the scary parts, which is half of the ride. Other than the over abundance of scary parts, I absolutely love this ride concept!

OK, I know this is a little off topic, but since this thread is about the Little Mermaid DVD I have to ask -- has anyone found the game? Maybe I'm just a little slow, but I can't seem to find the darned thing. Didn't they advertise a game with the DVD? :badpc:

Thanks!
