Little mermaid The Ride?

oh deffinatly . .there is an enourmously huge area back there. This is where the actual show building use to be. The play area simply takes up the area where you would load and unload the subs. let me put it to you this way. it takes me about two minutes to walk from the gate there all the way to where the back of the area is.

That would be awesome if they did the ride----Its really interesting that they decided to put it on the DVD--- I don't think they ever did that before, Maybe they are giving us a "Preview" . Oh I hope so too.

Thanks for the clarification! :thumbsup2

I just watched it and can not believe how awesome it would have been. I guess since TLM is not a pixar film it will never be made.

Personally, I think it would be better than the stage show at MGM...

Most definately!!! Take out the stage show at MGM, replace it with another coaster perhaps, and put TLM ride at MK!

:teeth: :teeth:

I'm sorry, I watched it again with my husband and it just didn't do it for us...I'm sure it was wonderful when the park opened in the 80's, but not really that great for today...

Watched the dvd too!! I think that they should definately make it into a ride at WDW. I know that I would love it. Have to keep our fingers crossed!

I just watched this clip as well and think it would be a cool ride. The only thing that I think they might want to consider is toning down some of the Ursula sections, because this might scare younger kids. Other than that I like it.

TLM is my favorite movie and I'm excited it's on DVD.

Just the preview scared the cra* out of my 4 year old :) My 4 and 7 yr old watch the movie all the time and still get freaked out by Ursula though.

By the end, they both thought it was neat (I remind them all the time ..... "remember, it ends good")

I wonder if Nemo is kind of like this though? You ride in a clam shell and all.

BTW, where is the game on the DVD? It says there is an all new game but we can't find anything under games - just the ride. Are we missing something?

This made my day! I have always thought there should be a ride duplicating hte "kiss the girl" scene! I've not seen the video yet, but I'm sure it is neat!

but but but I perform that show!

Mecha Figment, don't worry -- that's one of our family's favorite WDW attractions! DD is a HUGE Ariel fan (as you can probably guess from my screen name), and we go see your show several times each trip. I don't know if you're part in the show is as the mermaid herself, or one of the other excellent performers, but here's a big "Thank You" for doing such a great job!! :thumbsup2

the show is a major fav of mine and Im 40!! I met one of "Ariels friends "last month in the gift shop leaving a park, she was with 2 guys and I asked her if she was "Ariels friend"........hmmmmmmmmm

The ride on the DVD does look like fun. Our family would be on it in a second. I am still curious as to WHY the ride was never made, but I have doubts that the DVD is a preview for a soon to be available ride at WDW. It sounds nice, but TLM DVD, aside from the improved color, is really an advertisement for TLM III, Cindy III, The Fox and the Hound II, Tinkerbell DVD, etc. Don't get me wrong, they could have released it without the extras and we still would have bought the DVD because we love Ariel.

I would LOVE if they made it a reality!!! And personally, I'm beyond thrilled that TLM is out on DVD. :)

Hey Mecha Figment, that show is my dd's AND my dh's favorite attraction. They run there first, before anything else. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for posting the clip! My family would love it if they made that ride!

I like many others, LOVED it! I don't think they will be building it though since the Nemo ride consists of riding in a clamshell. I am a bit disappointed it wasn't built but I love the show at MGM and am looking forward to the Nemo ride!

Nothing like the GF at Christmastime!!
:santa: :santa: :santa:
