I don't know why i didn't notice this before, but there isn't much to do for little ones right now. I'm bringing a 41 inch 4 year old and two 1.5 year olds. I was looking at this list and realized my girls can't do much. They can do alien swirling saucers, Muppets, and the new Mickey railroad ride and I think that's it. I think with the shows being gone really emphasizes that. My husband is a big star wars fan so we're definitely doing one day there. Any tips on what to do with bored toddler tyrants? I wonder if they'll open up more shows eventually

the little ones can do Muppets, TSM the 41 inch kid can do almost everything. Also there's the Mickey shorts theater that shows a cute movie. Other than that there is nothing right now other than the 3 cavalcades of characters that comes out through out the day

Yeah sorry I meant there wasn't much to do for my twin one year olds. My 4 year old be good.

You might have to split up and take the toddlers to your resort pool for some extra fun.

Take in the atmosphere in the park like statues (the dinosaur is fun), for example or any gardens. Let them take a nap in their strollers. Bring along some toys to keep them engaged that way. Read them a story; hopefully, a Disney one.

What about the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy? The animatronic McQueen is pretty cool and the show is relatively short.

Little ones at 1 1/2 years old are tough at all parks but MK. We went through same with a 1 year old and 4 year old. It’s a no win at that age as most area geared to a little older. Epcot is even worse. You get. Nemo the land and figment (worst ride ever) not sure about spaceship eart. AK is worse with no show. MK is your big one but being stuck in fantasyland is killer for parents.

AK and Epcot are pretty good.

AK has Safari, Animal Trails, Dino Park, Navi, Triceratop Spin, Wildlife Train

Epcot has Nemo, aquarium/seabase, living with land, Frozen, Figment, Pixar Shorts, Three Caballeros, ImagineWorks, Kidcot stuff/world showcase

Right now not sure if Rafiki’s is open or boneyard as that would be hard to clean, so that reduces things there. You would have to check. Planet watch was closed and put to seasonal last summer so I doubt it is running now. Safari is a good one but without the two big shows it can be tough for those that little.

Epcot may not be running Pixar short, image works is almost nothing these days especially for those that young and kid cot is pretty dead. Plus Epcot tends to be really hot in the open areas during the day. Nemo is good and the aquarium but allot of construction in Epcot and walls so it’s hard to find some cool spots. I think Epcot has not opened some of the interactive touch activities that real little ones could do and I would not have my kids doing those things right now.

More for a four year old in both. Under normal times both parks can have allot for the little one just now some things are limited or things I would not have them do. Food and Wine is also on in Epcot now.

Yeah my son loved Epcot at 1.5. Even simple things like watching the train in Germany or the fountain in France. But he was terrified of the dark on Spaceship Earth. My tip is avoid that ride with 1 year olds.

Oh I completely forgot about Spaceship earth and yes the sight seeing in Epcot is great as there is a ton of variety. Flip side AK has good sight seeing but your kids need to love animals (yes most do but just important to call out).

I was honestly surprised as well my just 2yo when we went last September was crazy about the aquarium in the Nemo area (Seabase) and even the 6 month old was fascinated (slept most of the trip).

My 1 year old liked the sights and sounds of Star Wars at HW Studios, as well as the Lightening McQueen racing academy. Once shows are back, there's a Disney Jr. show. But yeah, I have a 4 year old, and with the exception of Galaxy's Edge, we spent time in HW Studios mostly for him (though at 39 inches, he was too small for some rides). Oh, for my son, Smugglers Run was a bit too intense. My husband said the little guy was crying because he thought he was really going into space without mom and little sis.

Supposedly all those things are open as its showing Crush is closed. I was looking at the Disney site so you might be right that its closed.

The kidcot I was not really familiar with and you are correct that image works is fairly limited. I will say my kid (just had turned 2yo) would have stayed at the spot where you can create sounds for probably an hour if we hadn't got her moving haha. So while limited to a really young kids its likely not like something they saw before. The music is also controlled by your body so you are not touching anything (might still be closed though).

I’ve been arguing for adding a “Jar Jar’s Younglings Yard” to SWGE, featuring a Dumbo-style ride but with assorted Gungans instead of elephants. The Star Wars purists would love it.

Wait until it's safe enough to have more shows, etc open?

Maybe divide up halfway through the day? Let hubby and the 4 year old stay longer and you take the twins back to the resort?

The little ones will be entertained enough just with the bright lights and colors of the park. The older can do things with one parent while the other wait with the toddlers. I truly miss those ages as my youngest 14 year old is over Disney World. Makes so sad☹

I have a 3 and 5 year old and we will be going in 2 weeks. We plan to do Muppets at rope drop when everyone else rushes to all the rides, then build droids for their birthdays. Hopefully by then we can hit Midway Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, do ROTR using rider swap with DS5, have lunch, and head back to the Riviera where we are staying. We will return in the evening for dinner, the Lightning McQueen show, and any other rides we can pick up with minimal wait. Would love to get in MMRR but I'm not willing to wait an hour with small children. DS5 also wants to do SDD.

I just got back and honestly there were not many little kids in the parks period. It is just so strange to not see strollers parked everywhere and see lots of happy little faces. I think the atmosphere and lack of characters etc. and fears of COVID have just deterred most parents of little ones. There were a fair amount of older children and honestly if you have older kids who are ride fanatics, it might be a good time to go. But essentially it was a very adult crowd at all the parks.

In addition to what you mentioned, I think a lot of parents fear it will be a miserable experience trying to keep masks on little kids. It takes a die hard Disney family to go in these conditions. My littles are good at wearing masks but I know they won't last all day. I think HS has just enough to go in the morning for a couple hours and come back in the evening for a couple of hours. The rest of the day they will be happier in the pool.
