Hello….we are cruising with our 5 year old in August. What kid drinks are available? She is fine with water but 7 days of water is a bit much. She doesn’t drink milk, or any of the sugary juices that I see are offered. We thought about bringing her drinks (Honest Kids and Apple and Eve) but that’s a lot to carry on. Any help would be appreciated.

My son is mostly a water drinker (and a teenager now) but he's always been fine with watered down apple juice. He drinks it at home that way, too. Lemonade onboard, too (also often watered down). But usually that's for breakfast and lunch where he can control it himself. Dinner (when someone else is serving him) is usually water.

My son drinks milk, water, and low sugar juice at home, but on the cruise for a few days we just don’t worry about it. He gets chocolate milk and regular juice.

They have Minute Maid apple and orange juices in the buffet (Cabanas), which is open for breakfast and lunch. You can take some with you for in-between snacks. Possibly available in the Main Dining Rooms (MDR) at dinner, also.

Orchards Best (basically Jungle Juice /POG) probably has added sugar.

If she never drinks anything other than those juices, just bring them along. You will need to put them in your carry-on for the ship.

Vacation is a rough time to make a radical change if you always use the same product. At least you won’t be toting as much home.

I am thinking we are going to bring her regular drinks with us, she is such a creature of habit.

My kids transitioned to drinking what was available on the ships no problem but I will say as I was a child that couldn't do that. Keep in mind some kids don't tolerate the change well digestively. Like for me, I can't drink water when I travel. It makes me physically ill. I'm not talking other countries but even going from state to state the changes in tap water makes me sick. When I travel I have to mostly stick to bottled drinks.

If she's a kid like that or you've never had her try anything else I'd consider just bringing some with you.

I feel your pain....my kids ONLY drink apple juice. The older one has branched out into pineapple juice, and the other one is less selective about her juices and will at least drink fruit punch. Oddly enough my older daughter refuses to drink Honest Apple juice and tolerates apple and eve. Her preference is Motts, followed by minute maid.

I can't tell if your kiddo's juice preferences are her preferences or what you prefer to serve. Either way, I'd try and introduce minute maid apple juice ahead of time. Because that's a lot of juice to carry on for 7 days. Just knowing how much juice my kids blow through in a week.
