Listerine Mouthwash

But they literally spent like $60 on Listerine. You could buy some nice real
Booze for $60.

Maybe they casted more about quantity than quality or can't have booze in their home for some reason.

$60 for 30 bottles sounds like a good deal though so crazy couponers could be a reasonable explanation.

Wouldn't need a mass quantity, but a FB friend saw something on pinterest about a foot scrub. The pin said "Any kind will work but I like the blue one best." Friend's feet were dyed blue- so don't do that. :)

I've been seeing that floating around FB lately. I think you only need 1/4 cup though :lmao:

dog got sprayed by a skunk. Listerine works and if it happened to a couple big dogs you might need a lot.

Definitely extreme couponers, questionable fashion sense and all... One bottle sells for around $6-7 regular price so $60 for 30 bottles, even allowing a generous margin of error on the rough checkout line count, is an excellent deal.

I vote for extreme couponing too! Have you ever watched those shows and seen how much stuff they get??? It's crazy, really!

I guess extreme couponing is a possibility but at 10pm with one person with a baseball cap pulled very low over their head it just looked a bit suspicious.

A baseball cap pulled down low is suspicious? :confused3 I would have assumed she was having a bad hair day.

I did see a pin on Pinterest about soaking your feet in Listerine and somethign else (Hydrogen peroxide maybe?) to get the dead scaly skin off your feet.

They own a convenience store or gas station and are buying the product to resell.

I've seen this a few times. They have a store that will sell 30 bottles of Lysterine in 6 months, doesn't do them any good to buy it wholesale. But kids will buy it to mask the scent of liquor so it makes sense to keep it on hand.

So they buy it when there is a good price and mark it up 1-2 hundred percent.

I saw this same thing play out two weekends ago with 15 boxes of Crest Toothpaste. Basically a lifetime supply for one family.

Maybe, they are donating it to a charity group that supplies a shelter or sends products to areas hit by natural disasters.

I saw that come across my Facebook Newsfeed. I am glad I didn't try it :rotfl2:

Maybe they have really bad breath:)

Did you think that maybe they needed it right then and there for something other then for their mouth. It has many other uses like being used to help de-skunk your dog. Also the hat wearing i don't see the big deal on that.

Wow op no one has told you to mind your business, nor to stop passing judgement when standing in line;)

Wonder if it was for a group home or new street drug. :thumbsup2

No drug connection that my family knows of. Years, and I mean lots of them, ago my friends combined scotch and Robitussin to get really buzzed. It made me throw up. I hope they're not consuming it for some reason. Yuk!

one can fry their brain, permanently, using robitussin to get high. fyi...don't do it. just say no.

thats what i would figure too.

I've heard it will kill mold, mildew and ringworm, but I've always thought I'd rather stick to plain ole' bleach and athlete's foot cream. (FYI: if you take in foster kittens or ever plan to do so, just go ahead and keep athlete's foot cream for ringworm on hand. It's a buck at the Dollar Tree and you WILL need it eventually. We've had 7, count'em 7, kittens turn up that we had no recourse but to raise up since we moved here. So, yeah, there's a tube in the storage room that turns into our kitten HQ. . .) I've also heard of people who use it to kill fleas, but I've only HEARD of that. It seems to always come up in conversations about what you can do with Listerine, but I don't know anyone who has ever done it.

My first thought was that someone was going to use it for skunk deodorizer, although, thanks to Mythbusters, we should all know the cheap, effective way to de-odorize a dog! :thumbsup2 (And can I say, it worked splendidly to de-odorize a dog that had wallowed in something dead!)

Monistat will work as well to get rid of ringworm.

I did not know that. Good information to have. . .also, we won't do it because we don't do the kitten thing as a regular part of our lives, but I've seen a black light mounted on a cabinet at a rescue - makes it really easy to scan kittens on intake (ringworm fluoresces under black light). We also had a batch that, due to nearly dying of starvation in the middle of winter, were susceptible to hypothermia, and we found that a heat sensing thermometer was great at monitoring body heat without having to. . .uhm. . .subject the little scraps to more trauma (just add a degree of heat or so, as you're not getting core temps).

On reflection, I am kind of leaning towards skunk bath, unless OP is in San Francisco, in which case I will be looking forward to the Mythbusters episode, LOL.

Or maybe they do rescue work and have a dog that's really infected with ringworm? If so, where's the bleach? And the Head and Shoulders? (I know some rescuers who swear by Head and Shoulders for ringworm.)

Oooh....this is a good guess! During the recent catastrophic floods in our city my office held a drive to collect toiletries for the Red Cross relief packages. We turned it into a contest with the department donating the most (by weight) was the winner. 1 litre bottles of Listerine would have been great for that and I can totally see buying 30 of them if the price was that good.
