Listened to the Dis during an MRI

Hi Folks!

Today I needed an MRI. When I called to set up the appointment, I was told I could listen to Sirius radio or bring a CD with me. SO....I burned two CDs of the podcast.

You have no idea how much ya'll helped me get through this experience! Listening to your voices helped relax and distract me from the small tube I found myself in.

Now the really hard part begins: waiting for the test results. Maybe I should fire up another podcast while I wait for the phone to ring? ;-)

This is a great idea! I had to do one several years ago and being in that little tube really freaked me out - listening to something like the podcast would have been great! As long as I remembered not to laugh...

I really can't overstate how much it helped! Not only did it take my mind off the tube, I felt--I don't know--less alone. Listening to voices that I'm so familiar with was a great comfort.

And, no joke, today I am waiting for a call with the results. So I put on the live show. It helped SO MUCH.

This ordeal since last Friday has been tough for me. Without going into too much detail, it's a brain MRI. So the results could mean major surgery. I'm so frightened but trying to keep a positive outlook. You guys have helped to transport me to a happier place, instead of just being in fear.

I've decided, if I do need brain surgery, I'm taking a celebratory trip to WDW after I'm healed. I'll proudly wear one of those "I'm celebrating" buttons! For a shy person, this is a big deal!

The results showed no pituitary tumor--much to the shock of my doctor! (YAY). However, because of my very abnormal blood work, I need *another* MRI next Tuesday to check out my adrenal glands.

So...I'll again take the Dis with me into the tube.
