Our hotel hasn't been cancelled yet for May 21-23 but all of our dining reservations were. Hotel still showing in MDE as well. Now to see which of our 4 other bookings is the actual opening.......

Because my resort stay starting May 21 was cancelled, I had to call this morning. I expressed my desire to save my resort stay starting May 23 (split stay) and was told it would be cancelled within the next week and she offered me to get a second free dining stay using that stay. I declined as I am not planning to go twice this summer. My newest resort stay starts on June 1 and she said that MAY be safe but still very unknown. (I know not to take all that they say as fact but just wanted to let everyone know. )

Dates - May 21 - 30
Resort- Riviera and CSR Tower
Level - Studio and Tower Standard
Paid - Cash
State - Louisiana

We still have DVC points room at Bay Lake Tower May 15-17 on our reservations. Nothing canceled yet. What are the chances this will be open? I can’t imagine it will be, but would love to know soon so we can reschedule if needed.

I think chances are essentially zero. They've removed all park hours from the schedule through May 23rd.

Get your new plans on. Disney already notified TAs they’re closed through May 23, their systems are just crap at doing the cancellations.

On Friday I spoke with DVC about our May 23-30th trip being cancelled. She told me they are currently working on cancelling May 9th reservations. I told her I was seeing trips on the Disney reservation side being cancelled up to and around May 23rd. She told me that they are way behind them. Hope that helps!

We have 2 reservations (split stay on May 9th and May 12). I checked earlier this morning and both were still there. I just checked again and the May 9th stay was just cancelled. I assume they are cancelling them 5 days before check in, so your May 10th should be cancelled sometime tomorrow.

I am still amazed that they are giving the DVC people so little notice.

There is no rhyme or reason. When it happens it will be announced.

Seems like emails to (at least some) resort guests on Wednesday and the calendar gets updated on Thursday.

I have a reservation for May 24-30 at POFQ. I expect to receive my cancellation email today or tomorrow based off of past weeks. Last Wednesday we received an email cancellation for our split stay on May 23 at ASMo.

Thomas Mazloum, senior VP of Disney World Resorts and Transportation, responded by saying that Disney World didn't have updates to share about a reopening date.

"We do not have any opening date yet," Mazloum said. "As some of you may know, at this point we're taking bookings that were in June, that doesn't mean we're opening in June

Will cancel and hope to be back next year.
