We are arriving on Friday 6/5-6/13. Our DS is 8 1/2 yrs old. One of our favorite activities is to be surprised by finding those rare characters for autographs and photos. Please list any recent rare character sightings:love: Character and place please

A good spot to check for rare character appearances is the "teardrop" in Toontown. The best way to describe it is if you are standing in front of the train station, take a left and keep walking. It is somewhat secluded and is used as a training spot for new friends of characters. At the end of April, we lucked into seeing Suzy and Perla and Marie from the Aristocats. There was NO ONE in the area other than us and 2 manager-type CM's with clipboards. My kids had the characters to themselves for a good 10 minutes before any other guests realized they were out. It was the best character experience of our trip. :goodvibes

I'm hoping to catch Carl and Russell during our upcoming trip! They were at the LA premiere, so the characters have been designed. Let's hope they make it down to FL!

I know Abu is now in the Main St. parade at MK. He has not been seen in a while.

We just returned Sunday and saw Marie twice (once outside Club Cool at Epcot and on the Teardrop in Magic Kingdom). We also got to finally (after three trips) meet Max (Goofy's son). I asked him if he was home from college and he shook his head. My son was estatic about finally meeting him. We also met Dug and Carl from UP. They were in the Animation place at DHS.

Also be aware that a great place to meet some "rare" characters is inside the Animation attraction at the Studios. This is not published and not guaranteed, but every night we were there in May a whole whack of characters would come out at 5:00 and then there would be others at 5:20. These characters used to come out in front of the hat and their times would be published but now they are in the animation building. The easiest way to see them is to walk through where the attraction exits into the store -- this is an acceptable entrance to see the characters. You'll find a variety of villains and robin hood characters here in addition to many others.

Also, Brer Rabbit is now meeting in the front of Animal Kingdom many days. He hasn't done regularly scheduled greetings since I started collecting autographs in 1998.

We saw (I guess at the teardrop that a previous poster was talking about) Marie from the aristocats, Meeko, the cat from Pinocchio, Baloo, Donald, and someone else who wasn't a rare character find, I cannot remember who. This was on our trip May 14-21st.

It was weird though, as fast as they came out, they went back in. DD only got to meet with Marie, but I was happy with that :)
Marie was so darn cute!

Did yall see Marie in the morning at Magic Kingdom or random times? She is my absolute favorite character! Only gotten the chance to meet her once.

I saw Maire in EPCOT, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham, Jafar, and the Snow Queen at Hollwood Studios last month.

Check the character finder link in my signature to see when others have spotted various characters.

If you want to meet Marie, you are in luck - she seems to be appearing on a pretty regular basis near Club Cool at epcot these days (I have read many reports of her there over the past couple of months).

Some of the rarer villains are appearing at the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios, though this is very hit and miss.

If you are hoping to see Carl, Russell, and dug (from Up!), you should have no problem - they are scheduled for daily meet and greets at the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios through October.

If you have seen any rarer characters lately (or any characters!), please consider sharing that information with us at the character finder! :)

We saw Marie in the early afternoon, maybe around 11 or 12. We walked out of Mickey's house and a cast memeber said hurry some characters are around the corner, they just came out haha, so we ran.

I did notice when at Stitch's Super Sonic Show, a couple with children asking about characters and the CM asked which character were they looking for and she radioed someone to see if that character was out and about. That is always an option if you are looking for someone in particular.

and i just remembered before I went to bed last night we saw Rafiki and a penguin, I think from Mary Poppins in Epcot by the fountain. They were behind the fountain like as if you were walking towards WS. It was actually rather late in the day too.

little surprises around every corner, but nothing dangerous.

you can ask any CM to contact the chip hotline if there is a character you are looking for... rare characters don't make the published list.

My daughter loves Marie we never saw her last visit i hope inSept visit she will come out we love her.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm going to have to figure out where this tear drop is! That sounds like a great place to see rare characters!!

I can second this experience.
