List of Disney Stores Closing

The Tri County one in Ohio is the one nearest me and it's closing

Do you know how LONG I waited to get one near me???? Ugh, at least I see the Beaver Valley Mall DS is no longer on the list. But it is such a pain to get to that mall. The Mall at Robinson is a breeze.

And why does PA have the biggest list? Grrrrr. I hope the pp is right about South Hills Village. That was the nicest one.

I was actually at the South Hills Village one again today and I reverified with the manager that they were staying open. I was worried that the woman yesterday was wrong but the manager said they will not be leaving. She was putting out all kinds of new things that she said they would not have received had they been closing.

I asked her about the other stores in the Pittsburgh area and she said they were all closing.

My DH was at the Mall of Robinson yesterday and said the Disney Store did not have any signs up about closing yet. I hate to see that one go, especially since it's so new.

Looks like the two closest to me are staying open. I haven't been in a Disney Store in at least a year though - I was unimpressed with what Children's Place did to one of my favorite stores and as a former cast member it was especially hard for me to go in there.

we are already lost ours here in Chattanooga-Hamilton Place Mall. It closed down a month or so ago. There was not any warning that it was closing either...it was there one day and gone the next.

I checked ours, QuakerBridge Mall in NJ, and they are definitely closing.

The closest one to me will now be at Oxford Valley Mall in PA. I'm so disappointed - I constantly shopped there and bought lots of Disney dollars over the years.

O man, i was always at the quakerbridge mall one--guess Oxford Valey will be closest for me too--and im very rarely at that mall

You must live close to me! That Robinson store just opened a couple of years ago! I'm heading there tomorrow to get a fix. Anytime we were at the mall I'd make the family just walk around in there and we always shopped there for b-days, Christmas, and lots of impulse.

I'm bummin.

I've never been to the South Hills one - but my son has a doctor's appt out that way next week - I'll have to check it out.

our closest store is on the list. I love that store, they have many disney icons and displays up and they always had disney cartoons running on a huge screen on the back wall of the store, there was a huge "pit" of stuffed characters in front of the screen. I would go in just to feel "disney" if that makes any sense. I have another store about 25 minutes away but I don't know if I'd make the trip to that mall when I have 2 others much closer without dis stores. Ugh!

Why dont I know anything about any of this? PP mentions Childrens Place... what does that have to do with Disney Stores? Was there a merge or something? I am always in the dark. Boise is my store... it's on the list.

Our local stores are staying open but one not too far at Vista Ridge Mall closing doesn't surprise me. That mall has seen better days.

The Children's Place bought the Disney Stores sometime back and coninued the trend of turning them into basically a kids' store. Now Disney is apparently buying them back and closing several.

Disney just bought the stores back from Children's Place. About 98 Disney Stores will be closing.

I'm surprised at this one. There are 2 within 15-20 minutes from me and this Mall is the premier mall in the area. The other mall is smaller (Ieven if it is a bit closer to my house). I hardly shop at the Disney Stores anymore but I do have to walk into them all the time to look around. My kids actually bought me some nice Christmas presents from the Galleria store this year.

They are closing the 2 by us. Walden Galleria and the Blvd Mall. I just do not understand the Galleria alway was busy. Now in order to shop at a Disney store we will have to drive over 3 hours to Syracuse.

It opened 2 weeks ago. I haven't been able to go yet. I think I will get up there tomorrow!

That makes me so sad. I was looking forward to it so much.

Man!!! I was just there last weekend and didnt see the Disney store in the new section and now its going to close!!!!

Well the one that is closing in our state is one I don't go to. We have 2 here and it looks like they are keeping the one that is a little more centered in the state. Thats cool. Now I just hope they make it better.

Not to be dumb, but which one is staying open? Both Pheasant Lane Mall and the Mall of NH are on the list. My cousin works at the Mall of NH one, and she hasn't heard that they're closing.

Wow! It looks like Disney is abandoning NC. I think these closings may leave one in south Charlotte, and maybe one in Raleigh. Just to think, three years ago I had three Disney store within 30 minutes of my house -now zero.

I totally understand though... Disney Stores have been pathetic over the last few years.
