List of Disney Stores Closing

My local store is on it. My store is the one in Holyoke, MA. I hope this store stays open. I am calling tomorrow as I need to go and get new Disney dollars for our trip in August.

Make sure that you call first. I think that we have to send the Disney Dollars back to headquarters. (I am not positive because I was off yesterday and today.)

I will be calling around 10am. This is also what a friend of mine and I use to pay our children their allowances for our vacation.

we were told to send our disney dollars back last thursday (first day of the transition) We also had to ship out our dvds, cds and books. we can sell and accept gift cards and we still sell tickets. that could change though...

This leaves no stores in St. Louis. I'm so sad. My DH and I used to go there almost every Thursday (our day off) and recently I've been bringing my DS. Guess I'll have to go and stock up on clothing for my DS.

Children's Place had bought the Disney Store 4 years ago. Now they are filling bankcruptcy and releasing Disney Store. Disney decided to buy it back and in the deal they are closing a ton of stores. They had to prove that these stores aren't bringing in enough money to the judge and I guess they did. It is really sad. We lost our DM and we loved her. Our store is brand new and staying open...we have been doing awesome. Hopefully that doesn't change.

Why in the world would Disney sell their stores to the Children's Place to begin with? That really suprises me.

And to make matters worse, my manager did say this morning that this is the first round of closings. Some stores that were on the list that didn't close, may still close.

yep its true our store in holyoke ma is closing as well as manchester ct so now i have to go to westfarms in hartford from now on

I have heard that there will only be one round of closing stores from a Lead at my store.

The one in Willow Grove Park/Mall in PA is closing, mom saw "Everything must go!" signs at it.

I work at Willow Grove. The signs went up Monday. It's very sad to work there.

DW was at the Nashua, NH store today. The CM there said that they are NOT closing.

I can confirm the Gwinnett Place Mall in GA closing. I was there today and the sign was up. Most merchandise was discounted 20%.

I'm not surprised though - it was usually empty every time I went in it.

I am just sick about the Gwinnett Place Mall closing. I hate Discover Mills and Mall of GA. While Gwinnett Place in general has gone downhill, it was still very convenient and I liked the CM's a lot. I will miss it. It's such a shame too, because it looked so great after the recent rehab.

That is correct. Also Pheasant Lane is remaining open as well. These 2 stores are in my district. Maine Mall in S. Portland is the only sote in my district closing. We lost our DM too and she was the best. Our distirct now encompasses MA, RI, NH, CT (only 1 store remaining there), NY and NJ.
I am happy we are staying open. I have been there almost 15 years.

Pheasant Lane _is_ Nashua - perhaps you mean Manchester is staying as well? Other than Burlington MA (which I believe closed early) it looks like most of the stores in my area escaped.
