Amy and Tracy
Thank you both so much. The past week has been difficult. We went on with our vacation as planned. On Monday, we stopped at the furniture maufacturer. On Tuesday we visited my friend in VA. It was a wonderful visit. Wednesday we were in Pigeon Forge and went to Dollywood. Our first visit there and it was very nice. Funny thing, we stayed until closing and DD was playing at a water feature where you put a disk at the top and follow it through a bunch of different levels to the bottom. DD was about half way through when the CM working it told her to stop, get the disk and put it up cause it was 8:00 and time to close so she could go home. DD did as she asked, walked over to me and said "If we were at Disney they would have let me finish playing"

I have to agree with her. Thursday we came home and Friday I went to work.
Due to the accident being considered a homicide, the bodies were not released until Wednesday, we were home in time for the memorial service. I'm glad we were here, but it was very hard, yet wonderful at the same time.
Amy, From what we understand the truck came across so quick that Danny just couldn't avoid it although he did try. Yes, Tammy (Danny's wife) lost her husband, father, mother and brother all at one time. You would think that someone would be totally devastated (which she was) and inconsolable, yet would you believe that she lead the memorial service? She and Dan co-pastor a church near New Orleans. The strength that woman has, yet at the reception I could tell she was getting to the end of her rope.
On Thursday, after we got home, I went to the studio one last time. A bunch of the girls had left flowers and other things out front. I went in and spent some time just looking at Mrs. Jeanne's pictures. She has a lot from when she danced and then through the years of teaching in the hallway leading into the studio.
On Friday, one of the guys at work took me out to the accident site. I just had to see it for myself. It was very hard, but after seeing where it was and then viewing the pictures I understand a bit more of what happened.
I will miss her. I will really miss seeing her car, parked in her spot in front of the studio and walking in hearing her say, "There's my pretty girls, are you ready to dance?"
Thank you both for being there for me and for your prayers. I have felt them.
