Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Amy - thank you also for the input on ESPN. Looks like that's where I will plan to eat Sunday night. Everything works out for a reason I say.

Definitly try the chalk this. I made sure and went over it a couple times to put down a thick line. Not sure if that helped or not.

and thank you for your congratulations/sympathy :thumbsup2

Tracy - so far so good on the quiet weekend. :goodvibes

Very quiet. I have about 6 hours all to myself this evening. DD went with Sophia's family to Granny's condo on the coast and DS is at "work". :cool1: My house is dark and quiet just how I like it. Don't get me wrong. I love it bright, sunny and full of life, but sometimes, I like it this way.

All day I have been doing laundry and cleaning. I have sorted through my wrapping paper boxes, the material box (now two boxes:rolleyes1) and am now working on the guest room. DH had put a lot of DD's toys in there a few months ago and now that is one of the rooms she plays in. Everything is a mess. I am taking this opportunity to sort through everything, throw out trash and get the room cleaned up and ready for guests again. I am making real progress, and it is nice to take breaks to other stuff also.

Food has been good today but I am about to have a treat. :cloud9:

In case anyone is totally bored, I have updated my solo trip report. I am gonna try real hard to finish it now.

I'm glad that you're having a nice, quiet weekend! :goodvibes

Heading over to read your trip report....

Hey Tracy, thanks for stopping by my trip report.

Today was Great!:woohoo: I was so tired last night that I fell asleep about 10:45. I was trying to wait up for DS to get home but....:faint: I got up at 8:10am and was like  I'm missing WDW on the Travel Channel. Watched that and the Disney Cruise one. In between did laundry, dishes, picked up more of DD's room, read the paper. I just can't sit still and watch tv anymore. Always have to be doing something.

Went out later for a couple errands and when I got home DS ventured out of his room. "Where were you?" he asked. Just spent the day working around here and enjoying it. DD got home about 4:15 and really enjoyed her adventure with Sophia. Gram came over later for dinner and no sooner did she get here then the bottom fell out. Rain, wind, thunder and lightening. Last for a couple of hours. Gram left as soon as it let up.

Going to bed now and hoping that everyone's weekend ended on a good note.

Hi thanks for stopping in on my journal- not much happening there lately,I have a DD18 leaving for college tomorrow and I think I have been depressed about it and have fallen way off the wagon.Hope to get moving again soon.

Yes I am doing the 5k and the 1/2 again in January, are you too? Did you already register?

It would be good to work along side someone here for motivation. The past couple years we have done that.I was on one of the teams- the Incredibles but I can't keep up with all the posts- by the time I read them to respond I forgot who said what- so I like this better.

How old are your kids? Are they doing any races too? My DD18 and I did Expedition Everst in June- what a blast!

Talk soon,
Linda

Thanks for stopping by Linda and Tracy

Yes, Tracy, Sunday was wonderful also, but this week....:sad2: not too sure so far. It could get better though.:thumbsup2

Linda, I am signed up for the 5K and 1/2 and I have a friend who is coming with me. These will be her very first races to participate in unless I can find one for us to do around here before January.

My kids are 24, 15 & 7. The DS24 is out of the house and works full time. He is not interested in this kind of stuff. DS15 would love to come, but they always go back to school the Tuesday after New Years, so he would only be in school for 2 days and then miss 3. I told him if he kept his grades up and turned in all of his work (a problem sometimes) all year, then he could go for January 2012. Something for him to work on. DD7 is just too young. She could do the 5K, but wouldn't. I'm still working on her. I am really looking forward to the race weekend again and just praying that it is a little bit warmer. I still remember last year. :cold: I too was on a team last year, the Triple Ds, and kept losing the thread. I finally gave up and then found them accidentally right before the weekend.

For my training I have three different tracks I walk at, do the WII and a small weight bench at home. I have not walked regularly in months and it shows. It is just sooo hot here, it is hard to be motivated. I have joined and exercise/dance class and am trying to walk the halls at work (big halls) before I go home in the evenings. Hopefully it will be cooler soon, so I can get back outside. My friend is training by walking the track by her house.

I am happy to report that I survived my second dance class. I kept up with everyone very well. Not as sore today either. :thumbsup2

I was able to walk today at work. Did 30 minutes. Food has been real good the past couple of days. I don't eat as much when I workout. :thumbsup2 I am really thinking of purchasing the dance DVD we did at exercise last night. I just have to get the name first. Some dancer from Dancing with the Stars. I don't watch that show so all I know is the blond one. :confused3 It was very fast, but I really liked the moves.

Families can be a real pain at times can't they. :sad2: But you just gotta step back, take a breath and move on. :cool2:

Forgot, I got my reservation for January today. I have a friend who is a travel agent that specializes in Disney. She is the one I am renting the points from for November, so I asked her to make my reservation for January. Real quick and easy. Course it is a room only. But 25% off Pop Centrury. :woohoo: I'm still hoping for an AP discount, but this is good, real good.

And flights on Southwest were released today. Not happy with the prices, but hoping they'll come down some. Gonna watch them for a few weeks.

Now I just have to get my butt in gear AND WALK!!!!!!!

Hi Lisa, great job with the food and workouts! Your ds and mine could relate to each other very well with the whole study and work habits thing! I told ds just tonight to get in gear from day one and stay that way! He's going to miss two days in October and one in January for Disney trips and he had better tow the line!

So glad you are enjoying your dance! Buy the DVD, that will be great exercise for when you can't get outdoors to walk.

Great news on the 25% off Pop Century!

I need to read up on your trip report.:surfweb:

Thanks Amy
Yesterday was lots of :woohoo: with regards to Disney and then this evening when I logged on and saw the banner of "AP holders save up to 45%" I was really :banana::banana: and then I realized it was just for this Fall. :headache: Oh well, there's still hope. I'm just so excited about discounts. :dance3:

Family.....gotta love'em.....right????? Mine is incredibly trying at times (Amy, I know you can completly relate). My DB has split up from his ex-wife again, he has lost his job, again and moved back to my DM's with his 3 kids (teens).....again. So suddenly we are not welcome at her house....again. He comes here, moves in with her, rearranges everything, dictates everything, and pays for nothing (no job you know). We try hard to help out as much as possible. I would like for DM to live by herself for as long as possible, but it times like this I wish I had already moved her in with me. He runs up lots of bills, refuses to do anything to help her out, DM pays for everything (which she can not afford) and then he leaves when he has gotten everything he can from her and anyone else who is gulible enough to believe his sob story. This time around he has turned one daughter and his son againist me, plus they are giving my DS the cold shoulder at school. :sad2:

Here's the kicker: everything is my fault. :confused3 I know it's not (well, part of it is cause I asked a group of friends to pray for DM and that upset my DN) and they just need someone to blame, so I'm over it. It's just very frustrating and I really don't need/want the drama.
Rant over.

Back to regular programing.

I did walk today and tried hard to keep my food under control. Not as good as it could have been, but good.

Oh Lisa, I am so sorry you are going through this with your db and his kids. And yes I can relate and no its not our fault! Don't take any guff off of him and just hang in there. Hopefully your mom will not have too much out of pocket expense although with teens living in the house, that's probably going to happen one way or the other.

I have concluded that in life, there are those that for whatever reason, simply cannot or will not get their lives together.

Good job getting your walk in and doing well with your food. We all know stress, esp family stress can be hard to work around!

Oh Lisa,

I am sending a gentle  your way. I'm so sorry for what you are going through with your DB and his kids. Family situations can be so challenging at times. I pray that everything works out!

Great job getting your walk in!:cheer2:

I hope you have a nice evening!

Thanks Amy and Tracy.
Today is almost over. :crazy2: and I am tired.

Got everything done at work that my cpu would allow me to do. Everything else will wait until Monday. I'm off tomorrow cause DH is on another trip. He was suppose to be home tonight, but is stuck in North Caro. Called about 10:00pm and asked me to find him a hotel for the night. HMMMM, wonder if I can get overtime for that? I had moved my off day just in case.

Here was my schedule this evening.

3:20 - stop at bakery
3:30 - stop at grocery
3:45 - follow bus into subdivision
4:25 - leave to pick up Sophia
4:50 - arrive at dance studio to meet April (she's late)
5:10 - leave to pick up DS at swim

Get DD in bath, get DS in shower. DH keeps calling.......:faint: I finally have everyone in bed and asleep. :thumbsup2

I have several things I want to do tomorrow, but am just going to play it by ear.

I hope everyone has a great Friday. :goodvibes

Wow Lisa! That was quite a schedule you had yesterday! :faint: I'm tired just reading about it! ;)

I hope you have a more relaxing day today and a nice weekend ahead!

Hi Tracy and anamaxs

Tracy, my evening didn't end there. DH got stuck in Charlotte, NC and I had to find him a hotel room. Took a while to figure out the area and where he was, but I found one. Finally went to bed around 12:00am.

Friday I was off and got a lot done.
Took kids to school
Recycling
Checkbook/bills
some shopping - Walmart, JCPenneys, CVS
pick kids up at school (DD loves being daily pickup)

DH finally made it home. DS worked and we took DD to dinner and Target.

Today was spent around the house. No exercise this weekend, but I have am being careful on food.

Yesterday was good and bad. Good on I had a very good lunch (salad) and good dinner (healthy cereal). Bad cause I had lots of junk for in between.

FYI - Pretzel MMs are EVIL, very, very evil.:sad2:

I went to dance and it was okay. Not the work out I needed after what I ate. We did the beginner part of the zumba. I liked what we did last week better.

Today was much better. I did way better on food and got my walk in. 45 minutes worth.

Tonight has been quiet. DS has the beginnings of swimmers ear and a head cold and DD has been complaining about her ear. I think DD's is more sinus, as I have the same thing. Walking helps a lot, but as soon as I stop walking, the headache and earache comes back. But it should be over in a couple days. Never last long.

Hope everyone has a good evening.
