Lion King on Broadway

Thanx.. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing? Maybe distance wise?
The only thing I know about the Bronx is the Yankees, and that IS a bad thing!!

Go Sox!
MG

I grew up in the Bronx so we are definitely Yankee fans:thumbsup2 The only point I'm making about the restaurant is that if you do not know your way around NYC, logistically getting to and around the Bronx from Times Square may be an issue (although for a price any Taxi will get you there). There are so many many restaurants in the theater district that maybe someone who has been recently can recommend one to you without hauling yourself out to the Bronx! :goodvibes I hope you love Lion King as much as we did!!

Thanx for the great advice.. I think we may stick closer to Times Square.

I Loved the corny comedy at the Adventurers Club so I assume I would like it at Jekyll & Hyde, but the scuzzy comment has me a bit worried.
I am a true country type person who does not venture into any big city unless I need to.
Is J&H in a safe area? I would really like to check it out. Is there anything I should know??

Thanx again,
MG

J&H is in a safe area!!! It was just ok food and I guess my impression was that it wasn't super clean when in fact it may have just been old. It's kind of a fun, different place in all fairness, but it didn't really remind me of the Adventurer's Club. The waiters in J&H will leave a plastic spider and such on your plate....more Halloweeny type of gimmicks. If you're just going for drinks, by all means give it a try!

Thanks.. That's what I needed to know.
I did read many J&H reviews online, and I didn't see a single one that had good things to say about the food. That's why we decided drinks only!!

Wow, it's coming up already!

One of the places I've been to a few times before a show is Saju Bistro:

http://www.sajubistro.com/

Not cheap, but the food is very good (last time I was there was last summer though, so hopefully it hasn't changed) and it's between Grand Central and the theater.

A lot of people recommend Carmine's:

I've never been, but almost everyone I know that have eaten there enjoyed it.

Wherever you end up, I'm sure you'll have a great timeQ :goodvibes
