linking magic bands

So, I've never bought a magic band, I've only ever used the ones that they send pre-linked. But I'm obsessed with the new D&B magic bands and I think I want to splurge for one. My trip is in February so I won't even have my basic magic band when they go onsale. Do I just bring both my purchased magic band and my basic magic band when I come to the resort and have them link the new one up? Can I do it ahead of time so I don't have to deal with 2 MBs? I know this is probably a silly question but I just want to make sure I know how it works before I buy one :]

You should be able to link your D+B band once you have in paws. There is a number on back of all MB, on prelinked/ones they send you it's above my name. you go to your MDE acct. and put in number that is on back of MB chose who to link it to and your cleared for take off

It is easy to link a purchased MagicBand to your MDE account. Just log in, go to MagicBands and Cards, scroll down and you'll see a button to link the band.
