since it seems there have been more posting who are just getting into photography lately, i wanted to post this link. imho this guy always has some point i can use and is basic enough( or has an explaination of something if it's not) i think anyone can understand it...it's one of my few emails i don't trash right away :surfweb:

like today, he mentioned using a circular polarizer for waterfalls which for some dumb reason i never thought

If you're looking for a particular article on Digital Photography School, like how to shoot fireworks, this article list will be very helpful. I love Darren's blog but I find it very frustrating to try to find something I have seen there in the past. Rather than complain about it, I made this tool. I keep it up to date whenever he posts a new article. I hope you find it useful. Barrie

thanks for the list barrie...i bookmarked it as i'm sure i'll need it

I've been getting the DPS emails for a few months now and love them. Always great stuff. I keep them archived in my gmail account so I can search them later to find anything I have a question about, or just go to the website.

Another great photo email service comes from Photojojo. They always have fun ideas and useful tips as well. I'm signed up for their newsletter as well.

Good stuff.

I took a quick look at the site,, it appears to be a decent one,, but everyone needs to remember one thing about sites like this,, there is no such thing as free,, most probably you r going to be put on someones email list and email spam will increase to your account
