Lines this week for MK train?

Can anyone at MK this week give an idea of what the waits have been like for the train since it just reopened ? (pent up demand ). And has it been a problem to try to board other than Main street since more people than usual may be staying on for the whole circle? Lines are a problem and I'm sure DAS doesn't apply to the train. Thanks!

We just rode the train yesterday. There was a wait. We got on at main street and waited about 20min or so. Looked longer at fantasyland. The CM repeatedly told people at the stops that they are a mode of transportation and not a ride, they have to leave on time whether or not the train is completely full.

Seems to me that train availability would be related to how busy MK is on any given day. Many may not yet realize the train is back in operation and choose to walk instead. I don't really see it as a matter of 'pent up' demand since on the days the train wasn't running, your only choice was to walk instead.

We rode on Jan 2. Boarded at Main Street… about a 25 min wait.

We also rode on Jan. 2 and I think we waited around 20-25 minutes midday. We boarded in Frontierland and the line was down the stairs and wrapped around.

We weren't forced to get off and we rode it full circle. I never heard them say it was just a mode of transportation?

We did a full loop from Main St. on 12/28 at around 9:30 upon entering the park. We had zero wait and the train was fairly empty. Later that same day (around 5) we waited approximately 35 minutes at the Fantasyland station.

We waited 45 long, hot minutes on Monday afternoon. No one said anything about transportation vs ride and most stayed on the entire loop.

admittedly that is kind of weird.. it's not like a real train that has to get to another station on time so commuters can catch a connecting train... it's a theme park train that goes in a circle for hours on end

They said they run on a schedule and not capacity. I guess because they have multi trains running at one time. Not sure. Or maybe the train is expected at each stop every so many minutes. I never paid much attention to be honest. But because people were complaining they explained it several times during our loop.

oh duh, I forgot there is more than one actual train, that makes way more sense, they have to get out of the station in time for the other train to pull in because an incoming train can't just easily slam on it's breaks to wait like a car could. that makes way more sense now haha

They have never kept track of where you boarded the train, so Disney would have no way to know when you have to exit. Assume it has always worked that way. Running on a schedule makes sense particularly if they run multiple trains.

We rode on Jan 1st. Got on in Fantasy land, got off in Frontier land, after a full round trip so 1 3/4 around the park lol. The kids wanted to stay on. And honestly, besides COP, it was the best thing in MK that day.

It was a 35 min wait Jan 6 around 5pm at Main Street. They tell you when you get there how long it’ll be.
