From a couple of weeks ago: (and I'll preface this by saying I am normally extremely mild-mannered and avoid confrontation)

At DHS, scheduled to close at 8pm, my daughter and i had gone to F! at 7pm, decided afterwards to make our way to TSMM for one last ride, got there at about 7:50pm, posted wait was 25 minutes. We decided to wait. Once in line, it seemed that a steady stream of people was excusing themselves to get in front of us, presumably to meet parts of their party further up in line. Seems like the fair thing to do would be for the people further up in line to drop back in line to meet up with the laggards.

Anyhow it was like 2 people here, then another 2, then 1. I was feeling pretty annoyed. I only had my 5 year old with me so i didn't have anyone to gripe to, but i heard the people all around me griping to each other. Then this group of at least 6 people tries to make their way up in line.

"why do you think that's OK?" I asked.
"we were in the bathroom, the rest of our group is up there."
"why do you think that's OK?" I repeated.
they had already handed some of the little kids over gates to advance in line, but the adults were still behind me. I was pretty sure i wasn't going to block them from getting in front of me, but i was going to draw a whole lot of attention to them if they did.
they made some more excuses, we has some more words, but in the end, they waited behind me, and the rest of their group waited and then fell in line with them. I must admit, that was awkward having them in line behind me for the next 10 minutes!

But I'll say it again-- why do people think it's ok to jump the line, especially in this type of situation-- they had a choice to either not jump the line wait an extra few minutes, or make everyone who they jumped wait extra time due to their selfishness.

Anyone else ever call people out for jumping the line?

I guess the other thread wasn't a big enough soapbox? Or did you just want someone to post this...

Wasn't the other thread about the Princess Pantry?

How silly of me. Of course - each attraction needs its own specific line cutting thread, complete with measurements of the width of the line at various points, so that everyone knows exactly how many 6'7" men to bring along in order to most effectively prevent toddlers from using the bathroom.

Nope, b/c I think that makes you just as bad as them and I try not to stoop myself to someone else's level. As I stated on the other thread, acting as the rule enforcer is just as much of a violation of a rules and I believe that is why they hire CM's. The right thing to do IMO is to let them pass and report the issue to a CM to decide. Tit for Tat is not IMO a good method for solving a problem.

Does someone need a hug?

Sadly I think they have the CMs spread too thin right now and a lot of them (that I have seen) don't want to deal with problems. I've seen CMs shrug their shoulders when we've reported someone smoking in a non-smoking area within the CMs view.

One young child with an emergency bathroom break I totally get. We've all been there. Waiting in long line. 4 year old says they have to go right when your about to board. No problem, let them hustle out and skip back up to the front of line. Older kids or larger families moving up to join others is not polite, people should know better. I have no problem with letting them hear it.

Was in the Haunted Mansion once when they opened the stretch room doors and two teen girls ran ahead and got in the line, then tried to have their 20 friends pass everyone else in the line to get up to where they were. Other guests in the line blocked them, saying that the 2 girls could wait for the 20 to catch up, there wasn't any need for the 20 to pass everyone else to catch up with the 2. Hoorah for the blockers in this situation I say. It was obvious that these two girls had been sent ahead to "secure" their group's position at the head of the line. And they didn't even have to wait that long to board. They just wanted to be FIRST.

My thoughts on the matter.. If you have a young child in tow then yes by all means I will move you right along without hesitation. If you are pubescent or older you aren't getting past me. We aren't discussing it. I don't hear you and I can be very wide and solid. Too bad.

No - I haven't called anyone out for jumping line, as I don't think I've ever seen a situation where I would.

I must incredibly oblivious, but I've never had a problem with line jumpers (except maybe once in line for the Candlelight Processional, but I quickly realized it was no big deal, because they were going to have a horrible time finding seats together, compared to me and my husband, who could squeeze in anywhere).

Similarly, I've never had a ride "ruined" by camera flashes (though I've noticed one or two). I've never been assaulted by a selfie stick. I've spotted an ipad here or there, but never had my view entirely blocked by them. Children on shoulders - no problem. Boys in the ladies' room - so what? Never been run down by a stroller or ECV. Never been assaulted by bubbles. Have I forgotten any?

Some guests are undoubtedly obnoxious, but when I'm at Disney I can happily ignore most of them. Sometimes when I read these complaint threads, I really wonder if we're visiting the same theme park!

OP: Sorry you're weirdly getting dogpiled in this thread. I guess we're all supposed to keep our head down and get rolled over rather than speak up.
