Hey fellow Dis Members,
I have been looking for a vacation home and read that you should stay in the Splendid China areas instead of the other side of Disney. I have been looking at Indian Creek, Rolling Hills, Lindfields areas and need a 4BR home, hoping for one with 2 masters, and wasnt sure if one of the areas are better than the other. Anyone stayed in these areas and could give me some info.? We are going after Thanksgiving. All of the homes charge for pool heating. Are the pools warm enough to swim in after paying for the pool heat? Thanks for the info.

Not sure about the question with the pools, but my sister lived in Indian Creek for quite awhile and it is a nice area.. about 1/2 of the homes are vacation rentals and the other 1/2 live there year round. There is a community pool and tennis courts, plus a playground. The community is nice, quiet and VERY convienent to WDW and Kissimmee. GL with your search!

Have stayed in Indian Creek 2 yrs in a row. Very nice homes. Location is great. Rolling Hills is across the street. Lindsfield is a little further down the road and the homes seem to be a little older. I would recommend either Indian Creek or Rolling Hills.

We always go in Feb and get pool heat because we use the pool morning noon and night. We've swum in 50 degree days, rainy days...couldn't have done this without the pool heat.

We've rented homes in Lindfields several times. As maps said, they are a bit older and a bit farther but neither of those are really a big issue. If prices are comparable, take the newer closer properties. But if you find a really good deal in Lindfields I wouldn't hesitate to grab it.

We stayed in lindfields in Sep 03 . We did not get pool heat and regretted it. It was too cold to swim. Also found that water was highly chlorinated. The home was nice but nothing special. We had a bee hive and ant nest at the front door which was a bit annoying, and it was at least 15-20 mins to WDW. If you are not planing on going to a park everyday it would be good, but as park commandos I found it was too out of the way. I personally prefer gated communities, though there is security patrols, it is not as safe as gated communities such as Windsor Palms.

My dad has stayed at Indian Creek for the past 3 years and each time he has been very happy with it. He has always gotten a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house with 2 master bedrooms. One master had a king and the other a queen. There was a pool and hot tub and since he always goes for the month of January he has the pool heated. Without it heated I don't think we would have been able to swim, it was too cold but the heater made it like bath water, so enjoyable!

We were put in a 3 bedroom house in Indian Creek after we had a problem with our condo at Windsor Palms. It was a pleasant neighborhood, and convenient. The house was nicely decorated. Cleanliness was so-so. We didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on that.
