Gorgeous kids!! The story about Colin is amazing. What a fighter he must be. Good job on cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I've yet to make that attempt! Hope things calm down a bit at work for you. Have a good one!

Hi guys everything is fine, I just havent been focused on this stuff lately. :confused3 I havent even stepped on the scale, or gotten much exercise lately either. I misjudged my time management ability!

This is our busiest time at work, because of UPS delivering all of santas goodies. And we are working short so I am T I R E D. But it will be over in 2 weeks. :thumbsup2 January is slow for us. Anyway I wont whine about work. Some things have even gotten better, they redid our leave policy and made it almost human! The change in congress is making things look a little brighter for us.

Good news is Kevin is getting to go to the Orange Bowl. My dad didnt end up getting him tickets (long story...lets just say it was a misunderstanding) But MiMi to the rescue. She and my brother are driving down and taking Kev. :cool1: My sis is also going (flying from oregon!) I am the only one who isnt going! I have to work! :guilty:

Okay , since he is missing school I send notes to his teachers asking them to let him do the work over christmas break and make up anything else if possible. They were very nice about it. One of the teachers said I needed to talk to the vice-principal also so I called him too. Well what a jerk he was. I told him what was going on, that kev would miss jan 2-4th and I hoped it could be excused since it was a once in a lifetime opportunity...etc. He tells me to send a note in explaining the circumstances and they would evaluate his attendance and grades and determine IF HE WOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE THE DAYS OFF OR NOT. I said " you misunderstood, he is going to miss those days, I am asking you to let him make up the work." He then made some snarky comment about me not needing to bother to ask. UGH! I am sending the note in anyway, hoping saner heads will prevail and it will be excused. If not, it seems like his teachers will help out anyway.

Okay I was just watching "biggest loser" I have never watched it before, but it was the finals or whatever so I watched the end of it. Anyway, that girl is built a lot like me! I think when I get buffed up I will look like that! All I need is few months of intensive work like that! A guy at work might sell me his treadmill. Hes thinking about it, but since hes trying to figure out how much to charge its probably gonna be too much. We'll see. I really want a treadmill, I am tired of the stairmachine. :p

I should go to bed, I have to get up at 4am.

Ok, Christmas is over! Yea! I am sooo tired. But I survived it. Work was freaking insane, I wont go into it, but lets say it this way. Our management decided that this year...during our peak season with double our usual UPS traffic (yes, its christmas) we would work at minus 2 or 3 on every shift. That minus 2 or 3 people for a NORMAL week, not peak. It was truly ridiculous. But anyway, i still got thru it.

Had my family over for our christmas, then went to my dads tonight, have to take Kev to meet his dad tomorrow, where he will go to bloomington to see his other family. Then friday night he leaves for the Orange Bowl (GO CARDS!). I have to fit in my friend debbie and her kids somewhere in there too, maybe thursday? Anyway, still lots to do!

My new years resolution is gonna be to START OVER! Log on here and keep up with everything, and stop eating, and get exercise! Okay I know thats the same as everyone elses but I gonna do it anyway. I'm going to florida for spring break so I have only 31/2 months to get it shape. eeek!

Wow! I came here to "catch up" on what I have missed since I have been too busy to keep up and it seems that you have been so busy that I only really missed like 2 posts! I don't know if I should :rotfl: or :sad1: . I guess we will just be glad the month of December and all of the crazy holiday madness is over. I agree with you about the new year. I am just going to forget that the last quarter of this year was a bust for me and start fresh in January!

I know that we can do it!

I have been so bad about posting, but I have been popping in to read peoples a bit! I had a nice christmas, I sent my boy off to Miami for the Orange Bowl (GO CARDS!) and now I have to go back to work tomorrow and try to get thru a few more years!

I got sooooo sick on thursday! I had popeyes chicken at lunch, about 1pm. By the time I got home at 3:30 I was VIOLENTLY ill. I have never felt so bad. I got up the next day and went to work but I had to leave after a couple of hours cuz I wasnt right! I think maybe it was made with bad grease or something. I am still not altogether normal yet, but ok.

I also have bad news. :eek: :scared1: :eek: :headache: I think I may be having "hot flashes"!!!! I am not sure, but I keep getting hot and asking those around me if they are and they are saying no. I thought that would be more obvious. You know...sudden sweats or something? But this just seems like I am constantly feeling uncomfortable. It is freaking me out a little!:guilty:

I am gonna join the january exercise challenge too. I still havent gotten a treadmill, but I hope to soon. If not, on my new schedule I should be able to get to the gym at least 2 times a week. They also put this weight machine in at work, so hopefully 2 or 3 times a week I can get in 20 mins or so on that. I am gonna try 1000 mins, but I really hope for more. I want at least an hour cardio per day and 20 mins weights 3 times a week.

Now food. I havent decided what to do. I was thinking "magic pill" but I cant take drugs for work! Oh, I know someones gonna tell me to just eat healthy....yeah whatever.....I am thinking lots and lots of water.....I already drink quite a lot, but I may double up....

Then I will post a goal. I am going to Florida in april. Me an Kev and 2 of his buddies. We are gonna stay at the Portofina Bay Hotel at Universal. It is the only one we havent stayed at there yet, so I want to try it. Its supposed to be the nicest one. I am a gold Lowes member so I may be able to gat an upgrade to a suite this time !:banana:

Glad you're feeling better, Linda! I ate at Popeyes ONCE & had the same experience that lasted for DAYS! I can hardly drive past it anymore!

Hot Flashes.....fun, fun, fun! I started with night sweats & no sleeping, but the hot flashes I've started are just warmth, intense, but warmth, no sweating, no redness, just get really warm. NOT really fun! I've found Revival Soy really controls mine and the more I exercise, the better they seem to be. Good luck! We can compare notes!

Ok I just posted this really long post and it DISAPPEARED! *** happened? I am looking around to see if it went on someone elses page! So If anyone has a long post from me....:confused3

Okay I'll start over. Its the first and I give myself a B- overall. My food was about a C+. I had 1560 cals, which is a little high but not terrible. There were some cheetos in there, but other than that not too bad. My first post had all the food in it, but I'm kinda tired and I have to get up at 5am.

Water was not good, only 48 oz, but I will try to get some more in.


Now the good. Exercise A+++++. I did 60 mins on the stairmachine , 200 crunches on the ab-lounger (6 mins) and then I did 14 mins on the wieght machine. 80 mins total. So I figure thats about a B-.

Okay, I weighed myself and it was scary. So my goal is gonna be 40 lbs to start, but I'm not gonna put a time limit on it, since that didnt work last time. I am hoping to lose 30 by vacation.

I am picking the hotel for Me this time, even tho I am taking 3 teenagers with me. It is fabulous. Check it out.

OK, I didnt have time to post all my food yesterday, but it was 1276 cals, plus 3 or 4 Hersheys kisses. I'm not sure how many cals in those? Water was horrible, about 36 oz. I was so freaked about the game I didnt move from the couch downstairs until it was over.

Exercise was good, considering. I did my 60 mins stairmachine plus 6 on the ablounger (200). I didnt get the weights done, but I think thats fine.

I only got about 2 hours of sleep because the game was so late and I had to get up at 4:15. I am actually very proud of myself for getting up and going to work. I was sure I would have to call in sick, but I made it thru the day.

Tonite I am going to dinner and a movie with my friend. We are going to Cheddars and to see The Holiday. I am a little worried about Cheddars. They apparently dont post thier nutrition data anywhere on the web, so I'm not sure what to order. I usually get the Spasanga but I'm sure thats really bad. Well see, I will try to do ok, but I'm not just gonna get a salad with FF dressing or something. I dont go out all the time like Amber!

Food so far today

Thats 543 so far. Hopefully it wont be too bad for dinner.

I wont have time to exercise today, since I have to get up at 4 again and I really cant do 2 hours of sleep 3 days in a row!

That snack I did was really quite good. Just thru some knorr pesto and a little parmesan in with some egg beaters, very tasty and filling to hold me over until dinner!


BTW I talked to my son and he was on TV 2 times last night! (in the stadium at the game) I didnt see it but he said all his friends were calling him and telling him they saw him.. I have it recorded so I will look sometime soon for it. I have to figure out how to get it from the DVR to a DVD. This is kinda funny because I am in the DVD of the 1980 NCAA basketball championship game. You have to pause it and go frame by frame but I'm there! So I think its cool that Kev is in one too!

OK, didnt do great but I'm adding up the damage on nutritiondata.com.

I ordered the Spasanga...but I ate maybe 1/5 of it, and brought the rest home.


1 cup cooked spaghetti is 220 cals
1/4 cup of marinara is 47 cals
1/4 cup alfredo sauce 170
garlic bread 150
I will have fudgsicle -60

Thats 647... I seriously dont think theres any way I had a cup, but I erring on the upper side there.

Thats 1190 total cals. I am just estimating on these so if I had even a half cup of alfredo, that would be 1360. I truly dont think it could have been but the experts say we always underestimate.

I know I should have chosen better food, but I think I did well by just eating a small portion. And I have leftovers that will last 3 or 4 days!

We saw The Holiday. It was funny and cute. Better than I thought until the end, which , well....it didnt actually have.

Well, once I again, I didnt do that great, but I did ok. I was on my way to work at 5:30 this morning and my cell rang in my pocket, which scared me, well, because its 5:30am. I thought it was gonna be Kev (who is driving home from Miami today), but instead someone yells (yes yells) what kind of biscuit do you want from Hardees? I was like....OMG you scared me....I'll take Bacon Egg and Cheese. Well I know thats bad, but it was at least some level of comraderie KWIM? And we cant go on chow runs anymore , so someone was being nice and picking up biscuits on the way in.

When I got to work I got the Radar and took my biscuit with me. I was asking the guy behind me how many calories were in a Hardees biscuit, around 600? He said ...well maybe for 1/2 of one. I said OMG not seriously? He says, yeah I think so. I said that means I cant eat anything else today. So I sent him over to the internet to look it up on nutritiondata.com. I was working so I couldnt do it myself. He looks it up and tells me its 1160. NO WAY! My supervisor, who was standing there also says yep, 1160. So I was freaking out! Its 6am and I have eaten all my calories for the day!

After about an hour the guy walks up behind me and taps me on the shoulder and says "560". OK, 560, while being horrible, is workable. And at least it is very filling. I didnt get hungry until 1pm and just had a little pudding cup. So I compensated. :goodvibes

Work, other than that sucked today. I asked for leave at 10, when a fresh shift shows up. I really just need some sleep, I am so freaking tired! Anyway, they disapproved it. This is no real big deal, but its what was done. We have a position in the tower called SCT, which is "tower supervisor". Supervisors NEVER work it. It was NEVER open during the UPS pre-christmas rush. They only open it when there are TOO MANY People on break. Yep, they open it (with a controller, not a supervisor) and deny my leave. This just completely torques me off. They were purposefully making sure that THERE WERENT enough people on break to let me leave. And I whined and biatched about it all day after that. I was offered the last hour off, and I refused. Heck, I'm done now, why take an hour of vacation time?


Anyway, that was my rant. Heres my food
