Thanks Amber! I havent really started the vegan thing yet, except I'm trying different foods. I still have a bunch of nutrisystem stuff I have to get rid of. I have been feeling down and really need to pull myself out of it. I really need to break up with BF but Im dreading it and its stressing me out. All kinds of stuff is happening at work and it looks like the near future at least is gonna be horrible. Apparently now they have the right to call us in to work for 2 hour periods, as well as sending us home on leave whenever they want (that will solve the problem of them not giving us vacation and us all accumulating a bunch they would have to pay us for) If we are out of leave, they can still send us home on leave-without-pay. Im not sure this stuff is legal. we shall see. Anyway...Im doing my exercises to at least try to stay on track.

Hang in there, Linda. Sounds like things are rough at work, but you're dealing and that's important. Your son sounds wonderful! What a blessing!

:grouphug: Hang in there Linda.....your work sounds like it really sucks!! So close to retirement....I wish there was something you could do....tell them to shove it....retire early.....win the lottery!!!

Thanks everyone for your support! I have been feeling so bad...I just havent been able to shake it off. :confused3

I have three things I need to do NOW

1. Break up with BF....I think this may be the real issue. I am NOT happy with him and I need to get it over with. I know I sound awful and mean but I am getting nothing out of this relationship and hearing about all you guys wonderful men makes me just have to face facts here. :guilty:

2. Re-evaluate my finances/lifestyle. I have to tighten my belt so to speak. I will not be poor by any means so I am not whining, but I have to adjust. I have completely ignored my budget, and it could bite me when the pay-cuts kick in (1st one starts 9/3) :rolleyes:

3. Stop eating! My clothes are tight! And I mean the 12s! The 10s I dont even attempt to put on! I havent gotten on the scale in total fear of what it says. Its nerves I know. I wish they let us take drugs! I could use a happy pill for sure! :sad2:

I have been exercising but it hasnt been helping much. I have a feeling I should be going to the endocrinologist because I think my blood sugar may be wacko. But if I do that, I would lose my medical at work at least temporarily and I dont feel comfortable in these times doing that. A vacation would be nice be we cant have those either! :confused3


Enough whining! Seriously I am not a whiner, evidence to the contrary!

Thanks so much CJK, I really appreciate it! I did better today, tho I havent talked to BF yet, I am doing pretty good food and exercise-wise. I was good thru the weekend, I even had lunch with a friend and ordered a greek salad and bean soup! The only breakdown was last night. I had to go to my sons football game (he doesnt play football, the band was playing). Anyway , after they played he came and asked me for money for food and I told him to get me something. I was thinking a pretzel or popcorn , but he came back with a tub of ice cream! Chocolate fudge! I didnt eat it all, but I ate a lot of it. Its a definite no-no on the vegan thing too.

I did pretty good today. I am trying to transition into vegetarian, thats what my "idiots guide to veganism" tells me to do! :rotfl2: Reading that tells me I am NOT going to be a vegan (its more of a philosophy, not just food..I think you have a gold-plated peta membership card if youre a true vegan!) ;) And I am just doing this for health reasons...no issues here....

The only slip-ups were the sun chips..I'm not sure if I can have them or not , and I also am continuing to have my cottage cheese for now, even tho I am supposed to be giving up dairy as well. I'm not going to quite yet.

I forgot to add, all the soy stuff has been good so far. The sliced ham lunchmeat was weird-looking, but other than that all is good. So I'm pretty sure I can do it. :cool1:

Those gensoy snacks are really good. A guy at work tried a bite of the mac n soy cheese and said it was good too, so its not just me saying its all okay. I am gonna get a recipe book and see what I can do with tofu! :goodvibes

Thanks guys! And as for BF....I think I am fine just by myself quite frankly. I went to lunch with a friend on friday and she was telling me about one of my old BFs from college. (She still sees him occassionally, I havent in years). Anyway, this is one of my BFs that felt the need to immediately marry someone thats is NOT ME as soon as we broke up. I know that sounds silly but its true. All my BFs get married immediately. MY ex got married twice inside the first year after our break-up. Anyway, my friend was telling me how this old BF was telling her basically, how horrible, boring and miserable his life is. Do you know I actually felt guilty! Like its my fault he had to run off and marry this woman since I was such a horrible GF! I actually do feel bad for him becauce he was sooo much fun and I remember thinking...theres no way this will last, shes so boring and hes so fun...when they got married. But they are still married so I guess thats something. (I confess, I got thru a lot of bad times in my life with this single thought....if things get tooooo bad I could always call up Bill and get a beer somewhere and then I'd feel better.....never did it....but it made me feel better anyway. So heres to Bill...hope you are happy! :drinking1 I should mention, we stayed friends...I even went to his wedding!

Thanks guys! I have been sticking to the veggie thing , no meat for me. Unfortunately its TOM and a bad one. I am curled up in bed...got off work at 12 today and came home and slept to try to make the pain go away. Unfortunately, it hasnt helped and I have been snacking like crazy. snacking on soy crackers and stuff (still sticking to the diet) but I'm not sure of the calorie total, lots I'm sure. No exercise today or yesterday either, I just cant! Blah! I am not even going to watch my sons band tonite..I am too yucky. He was on TV this morning..his band was on the am news. He had to be there at 5am. So he is having a long day today. I think I am okay on the exercise for the month so I am not gonna worry about it today. Later!

HI all! Hope everyones doing ok! I am having such a headache today. I know I'm so whiny lately its awful. I have a problem. You guys help me. I have been bored and hanging out on the CB. How stupid of me!There are horribly mean hateful people there! I swear one of them tries to make me mad. Ugh! How dumb tho. I think I should change my name...what do you guys say? Start over so I dont have to dodge these guys?

OK I havent had any meat or anything but I am feeling yucky. I think maybe thats why the headaches? So maybe it will go away soon?

I also am refinancing my house. Hopefully that isnt a mistake. I am paying off my 2nd and a charge card. The idea is that now I stay in my budget and no more charge card debt. My payment is gonna be huge so I really have to do it right, or it will be disaster. I'm a little nervous. Have a nice day you guys...later!
 
Sorry to hear you're having a rough time on the CB board. :sad2: I hope you don't change names though. The fighter in me thinks that you shouldn't give them the satisfaction! Maybe take a breather from the CB for a while and go back when/if you're ready. Dis'ing is supposed to be fun!

I hope you feel better soon. It can be very frightening when you take financial risks. From this thread however, I've noticed that you really research things through, so I know you won't do anything stupid. Best of luck to you.
 
Youre right CJK, that would be pretty silly I guess. I like my name! I just am not going to visit over there much anymore, it gives me a headache! As far as the money goes, it should be okay. I just have to cut up the charge card. I dont think I get to go on vacation next year anyway, so that should save some money. Since I am gonna break up with BF, I will spend less too. I just live in too expensive an area. (my mortgage is gonna be ...gulp...1862$) I did it for the schools. But as soon as my boy graduates I am outta here! Even with the refi I think i will still have enough equity for a decent downpayment on a little place. :thumbsup2

Today I didnt log my food :guilty:

no exercise either. But I was all vegetarian. I bought some vitamins to see if that gives me a boost. I am gonna be okay for the exercise challenge this month...first time since april I think! Yay!
