Limo/Hummer or DME

I am taking my 12yo nephew on his first trip to orlando in October, I have booked DME but I am wondering about a stretch limo or even a hummer, I am sure he would love it but I also think DME also has some "magic" about it... I cant decide.... HELP

The real magic of DME is (1) the wonderful luggage transfer service which allows you skip baggage claim and go directly to your resort, not burdened by your large, checked bags, and (2) there's no additional cost beyond what you're paying for your room anyway.

The DME motorcoaches are comfortable touring coaches, not city buses. They provide a Disney experience, including onboard video to get you excited about WDW.

Personally, I would stick with the Bus. My kids love the excitement of the videos on the bus. Save your money for in park purchases or something else. That's my 2 cents!

I just noticed you're from the UK. Assuming you have to go through U.S. Customs at Orlando International, you will have to deal with your bags at the airport after all. You can then turn them over to DME for delivery to your resort room, but that doesn't seem quite as magical as the DME luggage transfers for passengers on U.S. domestic flights.

I've had to clear customs at MCO with Bags years ago (before per-clearance was put in place from Canada), I would still take the DME bus with kids! No doubt! In fact ... I did take the Bus!

A town car will run about 120 plus tip and a hummer limo much more, vs free DME. If your nephew is really into a limo/hummer ride and you think the price is worth it then personal transportation is very nice. I have always been happy with DME and some of my trips were quicker than some of my towncar rides.

I can't help thinking that there are many things at WDW that a 12 yo boy would enjoy more than a limo ride for that $120 - 200 dollars. Backstage tours - disney quest, ridemax, or an experience at duvals at the CR like parachute sailing or water sprite rentals.

I would stick with DME. My son was 10 the first time we took it and loved it. We are leaving this week and he asked me yesterday if we were taking the Magical bus. He will be 13. It's just a nice beginning (and no extra cost ) to a fun vacation.
