Limo Help...

Ok just a quick question. We used Prestige limo last year, which is now Tiffany's limo from what I understand.

We did not like the experience we had with Prestige. Limo was late, the driver told us to get our own luggage and meet him outside. He was very rude and acted very strange. Needless to say it wasn't a good way to start out our trip at Disney, but who cares because we were at WDW!!

So my question is... Who to use?

We have searched and read the up's and downs of some other limo companys.
So far I believe Happy limo had the least complaints. Any help on who we should use would be great. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you want a limo because your family is more than a town car so I am suggesting you give an SUV a shot. They are much bigger and quite a bit better riding than any limo, town car or even a van. Also a SUV has plenty of room for luggage and a limo has limited room. Of course the price for an SUV will be significantly lower than a Limo.

There are plenty of companies that will gladly put you in a limo if you want to pay their price. In many cases the attitude goes with the price. Just a suggestion that may save you a few bucks.

Thanks Edd,

Last time we used the limo in Disney it was an 8 passenger. Room inside was not a problem. I wouldn't mind paying more for the limo as long as I knew it would be there and the driver was friendly. Besides the kids love the long car as they would put it.

I like the SUV idea. We might give that some thought. Any idea who to use for SUV service? Thanks

Here are a few Orlando limousine companies with great reputations. They have been in business for many years, I'm confident you will be impressed with their service. I'm sure you will be able to find them on the internet.

Starline
Carey
GNS

Also, regarding the above post, these companies have SUV's as well if that's what you want.

Thank you YaYagoofy,

I will check with them. I guess you never really know who to use. I use the same company in Vegas each time we go. I ask for the same driver. But the last few times have not been as good as others. Thanks for the help. Tim

We have used Happy Limo many times and have had no problems. They are always there on time, very friendly, even drove through McDonalds once when my kids were starving from a long plane ride without lunch. Mousesavers has a little discount if you mention it when you book. We usually get a van and roundtrip to WDW hotel is 120.00. I like that price compared to some of the others. Have also used Tiffany, but not again.

I have used Happy Limo and another limo company(which is banned-but I had good service)...of the two that I have used, Happy IMO had better service. But since the start of ME the limo business has taken a real hit, so that might expain poor service.

Also, another Dis'er poster(a while back) all the companies that were licenced to do pickups at MCO...you might want to search for that post.

Good Luck finding the limo company for you.

If you decide to go with the SUV, I highly recommend Sunray transportation. They have always been on time (the 4 times that I have used them), have always helped with the luggage, and always pick us up in a clean SUV.
While I haven't traveled with more than 4 in my party, I know the SUV that Roger has picked us up in will seat 9. It is either an Excursion or an Expedition. The also have a van available according to their website.
It only took one bad experience with Tiffany three years ago and I haven't gone back since. Someone recommended Sunray to me and I haven't had a single problem. Even when I sent them incorrect flight numbers, Roger was still waiting for us.

Big vote for Sunray here. We used them in April & they were GREAT!!! They were waiting at the airport when we arrived, they did the grocery stop & they were right there to get us at the resort to come home. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I wasn't pleased with Happy Limo. I've had great service from Lorden Transportation (lordentransportation dot com). I also recently used Ed Korgan from www.taxi-mco.com and had a wonderful experience. :goodvibes Ed was the most reasonably priced and he has a Surburban which will take care of all your luggage/space needs. :teeth:

We had a quote of over $800 for transportation for 16 people from MCO to Port to WDW. I may try using Sunray and rent 2 limos. Their prices are great!

The luggage for 8 people in the trunk of each limousine I doubt will fit. Perhaps you should consider a mini bus, try Carlsward Transportation (www.carlswardlimobus.com) they are dependable with clean vehicles.

We have 7 people that need transportation. Would an 8 passenger SUV hold us and all of our luggage? We would probably have at least 8 bags. Thanks

If they are using Surburbans for transportation you may be able to fit the luggage in the back. It's going to be a bit tight depending on the size of your luggage. Have you considered a van? Lorden Transportation a Van with a trailer as an option if you are worried about luggage space. I'd call and ask the company for their opinion before booking. Lorden's web site is lorden transportation.com.

Ed Korgan with taxi-mco.com has a Surburban that might fit your needs. I had a good experience with him recently and that might just work for you depending on the size of your bags.

Wow! Was that a quote from a transportation company? Were they giving you a quote for a stretch hummer or something? Anyway, I haven't seen anything bad on the boards about Sunray. I would guess how many bags you're going to have to make sure you have enough room in the limo trunk though. :teeth:

Never heard of them. :confused3

Yes, it was for a hummerzine. It was the only car that would fit 8 adults and 8 children. I think I'll continue to look. That price is outrageous. I'm getting some great options from this thread. Thanks, everyone!

We use Happy and will again in a couple of weeks. We get a towncar because of the size of our group. They upgraded us last time at no additional charge for whatever reason to a huge SUV and being short, I hated it. I'm happy with the towncar for such a short distance and their drivers are great.
