GREAT NEWS!!! Let's see what the next couple of days brings. Really praying that all will work out with her meds, and you can all go and have a really magical time!!

Loved the Christmas light photos. Back at a church convention in 2001, a youth pastor became famous for sticking a French fry up his nose, then using his lips to fling it across the table. This was followed up by sucking another fry from same nostril and swallowing it whole. I’ve matured since then. I mean, um….HE has matured since then I’m sure. If I knew him today that is.

hmmmmmmmm..........

:lmao: Sounds like something my BIL would do.

I've been known to "suck some rice". But that was a long time ago.

not MY BIL, it would be my uncle

no my friends, I was the one who got cake and lights up my nose, not rice! :lmao:

Bekka, I bet he'd just love Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!

yea, they'd all die two seconds into the movie if it were his idea. he likes that little cartoon called 'Bambi vs. Godzila' :lmao:

I"m gonna strangle that kid of mine. She's never nursed a child; I promise. ;)

run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man! :p

UMMMMMMMM  Your mother is going to kill you! :rolleyes1

LOG OFF PROBLEMS AGAIN????

yup :) I think I'll do it just to bug her...

It was the tragic results of a Disney DNA experiment- crossing Doris Day and Tink. Obviously they had some minor issues. The FDA is reviewing.

Edited to say, that that was played by Debbie Reynolds- thanks Bekka, the only teenager in possibly the entire world to know that.

yes, I am a bit strange aren't I? :goodvibes and I only have one piercing in each ear!

Quick note: Rachel's lab came back and it was low! Which is good news...since they can fix that. Still waiting on other labs!!

This is great news! Keep us posted!

:scared: That "nun" is just creepy..I agree!

Maroo..Glad to hear Rachel's levels were low, maybe you can get it straight and go on your trip! Still praying!

WOW! I can't believe I was 15 pages behind. I'm all caught up now.
What is up with that nun?
Is it always there?
:confused3
I'll be keeping Rachel in my thoughts.

While you’re nibbling the last remains of your popcorn, pull up a chair, and enjoy “A Newbie’s First Dunking in DTD”. Family piled in car, happily full of free dinner, we set off to Lands Yet To Be Discovered. Folks, let me just be brutally up front with you now; this is the point in my narrative where, although good intentions abound, good memories begin to altogether falter. Things grow dim. Down, down, down I fall- just follow the light….Ahem... sorry. As I was saying, things grow fuzzy from here on out. If things seem like you, too, might be falling into a tunnel wearing a little blue dress, be assured this story does have a happy ending, even if the telling is curious-er and curious-er.

After about 4 million toll booths, and frantic searching for “exact change”, we made it to said destination. At this point, I was more concerned with opening the borrowed stroller (thank God! thank God! Those days are over!)than with what pleasures awaited us. Seriously? ! Why do they design strollers only God can put together??

Successful at last with assembling the small piece of hell, we sauntered into Nirvana. It must surely have been the Westside, because here it comes- my most vivid memory of the entire trip: the Wicked Witch from Snow White, in full life-sized coolness, stirring a fogging pot in a store front. How rad (to steal a word from the 80s) to see something like that?!! My only guess is that it was the Candy Cauldron. In order to be one with this classic piece of Disney amazingness, I went in and procured myself a treat of magnificence; a ginormous caramel apple. I felt a deep need to test and conquer the witch by getting the one item she might have tampered with. As I am still here today to tell this tale, you can be assured I won that day. My apple was delicious.

After some sticky delight, we moved on. By this time it was night time and the lights over the lake, the decorations, the ambiance in general, was in one word-mesmerizing!! It energized my soul and cemented forever my longing to be there many more times in the future. From the Westside, somehow, we made our way over to the Marketplace. I don’t know how, and frankly can’t piece it together, but somehow without going through Pleasure Island we wound up in front of the next most amazing sight I saw that night- the Lego creations!! This time, not only was I, but everyone in our merry little party, thunderstruck. The kids oohed and aahed, and the grandparents couldn’t take enough pictures. Where those pictures are is a complete mystery- probably in a box buried deep in the garage only to be found in the next century by my great-grandchildren. Sorry, random thought wanderings… I think the sea dragon sculpture was the most impressive, but the cute little Lego ducks floating in the water were pretty nifty too. How could anyone not be impressed by this creativity?

I can’t remember too much more about Downtown Disney, but my overall impression was that somehow, someday, I wanted to come back. It also taught me a general rule about touring Disney: There’s always something more to explore. Leaving that night, I remember thinking to myself, “I know there’s a lot more to this place- I need to see more of it.” It would be 8 long years before I would get back there, and the same still holds true even now. There’s yet even more to be explored, but that’s for the TC3 to do in 2010!

Next up: Arriving at the Fort; What sort of mischief could we possibly get into here?

Even with two trips as a kid, we never made it to DTD for some reason, I suspect my grandmother didn't know it existed. Piper's going to love the lego stuff..if anyone should wander by sometime in March (I'm hoping) and see two women and a lil girl staring in awe at them, it will probably be us!

They ARE so amazing!!! I loved the T-Rex last trip; I definitely don't think it was there in 2001. I just so don't get how anyone could think this stuff isn't really neat. :confused3

I believe we have turned the corner!

Joyce said this morning "When we are in Disney!" :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cool1: :cheer2:

Woo Hoo!!

So, they have gone up on her seizure medicine and she did not have one yesterday, so that is good.

We are still waiting on her sodium levels. Maybe if they are a little off, they could correct that before we go, too. :thumbsup2

I would have thought sodium levels would have been fairly easy to check. Why so long??

Glad to hear no seizures today!!

Comments like, "When we're in Disney" are like music to one's anticipating ears! Maybe you should celebrate by getting Mickey ears to decorate them with?

You ate one of the apples?! Have you not learned anything from Snow White?! :rotfl:

I did. I tested fate to see what she would bring. But Snow White, although beautiful and talented was dense. I watched other people eat the apples first, and gave a bite to my kid first. :lmao::lmao:

well of COURSE you give the apple to the child first!

I hear you on the dim. I can't remember much at all about my first trip. I know most of that is selective blockage but I find it disturbing all the same.

It IS disturbing! Half the time I can't remember what I ate for dinner last night. Sheesh!

But you had an excuse... you hit PI; we didn't. :rotfl2:

Always ready to give you a chuckle! Mornin', Rosie!

So how many brothers and sisters did I have that I don't know about?! ;)

great update........but all I can think about is that caramel apple.........yum....need to make some........and not share.

It should have been in yesterday...but the nurse called as the clinic was closing and they did not have it.

She should have it back today.

Since they know the seizure meds are off...I think they think that is what it is. Honestly, I basically "ordered" the sodium levels - so I don't guess they think it is a priority to get them back. I just wanted to rule out two things at once...

I don't really buy into the "let's check the seizure levels...and if those are good THEN we will check the sodium" - especially the week before DISNEY! I think we should fix it all quick.

And her confusion was a lot like it was when she had the sodium issues. :confused3

But...I suppose I am not a doctor. :upsidedow
