I'm all caught up and cannot wait to follow along!

Hi There!! Welcome back; it's been awhile since we've seen you 'round these parts!!

Glad to have you following along. Hopefully we'll get something interesting posted in the next couple of days. Yesterday and the day before have been rather quiet.

I know; bad reader, bad! Lots going on here (including my having gone back to school!) but I am so glad to be back!

With all Maroo's trips and reports - I didnt realize you were going next year!

I have time to get real comfy here!!

No! Good, reader, good! You came back! :woohoo:

Hooray for you going back to school. I know as soon as my kids are mostly done with my intensive homeschooling them, I'm going back too!! It'll be a while, any by then I'll be an official "old fart", but I think even old farts can still learn! I simply must find a way to feed my Disney addiction. :lmao:

With all Maroo's trips and reports - I didnt realize you were going next year!

I have time to get real comfy here!!

Yes, you just pull up a soft piece of sofa and settle right on in. Funny, my own sofa has a nice (too large) divet where I've many a time parked my fanny for long spells of planning. My happy little (not) hiney has gotten way too "comfy" right with here with you all!!! So, you will not be alone, burning a hole in your comfy spot. :rotfl2: (Well, okay, not literally, I hope! Unless you've gotten too comfy at Taco Bell, as well.)

still herepopcorn::popcorn:: ...... so what's new:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Gosh! I've been AWOL for a few days, and look what happens!! Do you realize you are the first person to EVER popcorn me? I'm really not sure how to take that. Am I becoming so entertaining that you can't wait to see what nonsense I can post next? Or are you bored and have nothing better to do? or Hmmm....

HA!!!

Okay, all joking aside. I needed to take a couple of days off, not really by choice, but DH left today for a 4 days business trip and you (being a guy) know how that is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but guys seem like they need a little extra attention before being away. You know, extra hugs and kisses , extra help packing, ironing, finding the elusive underwear that rarely find their home when needed, you know all that!

So, at last he's out the door, and you can bet I'll be camping out with you guys for a few days of unfettered fun! I do have some fun ideas of posting/ updating, but I need maroo's cooperation here. (You're working on your bit, right?)

So, by your morning, I'll have something I hope will be entertaining for your perusal. ;)

:)

Me? Lots of trip reports?? :rolleyes1

Liesa....Liesa..... Come out, come out, wherever you are!!

Yes, you have a lot of trip reports, reminding us all everyday, that you get to go way more than we do! But that's okay, it gives all of us who lead mundane, or in my case, stressful and difficult lives, something to take our mind off of things for a while.

I can bet that our brave, good men and women in all of our armed services who face hardship and toil, day in and day out, dream of what they will do during their week of their leave. They must yearn for family, friends, relaxation, participating in long-standing traditions, eating Mom's home-cooked meals, and not the regular slop, and buying a few of those things they've not been able to have for quite a long time.

When you think about it, a Week of Freedom for the TC3 is quite comparable. TC3 longs for good food someone else concocts, hankers for finding relaxation at every turn, and pines for appointing new and exciting traditions! Family is OUT, for the most part- we learned THAT lesson last trip (see link in siggie for much griping!), but trusted and well-loved friends are definitely IN! And spending money on a few small things we can't really obtain much anywhere else? Well, what better place to blow a big wad??

Soooooooooooo.......

What if we were to go tomorrow??!! Really, think of it. (I know you do all the time, and I do too.) I think about it in bed at night, when I'm doing dishes, even when I should be thinking about how to teach adding fractions to my 11 year old. What would you do if you could pack up and set off THIS minute to your ultimate victory of a week in Disney?!

Where would you go? What would you do? What would you NOT want to miss?

Maroo and I thought a fun little exercise would be to plan out a mock trip, given that this is almost to the week we'll be there next year. The hours will likely be the same, including EMH hours, parade and show times will resemble what is posted now, and conditions should be about equal next year as well.

You realize several million, very well spent (please, don't draw too many political views from here- some of this is hypothetical, and I dare say, taken with much author's license) ,tax dollars are spent every year (month?) on the military practicing war games?? They analyze all the what-ifs, the conditions, the assorted enemies they may face, and the reactions those enemies could give. Then, when all is said and done, they ask: What could we have done better? Where did we succeed? What worked, What didn't? On and on and on....So without further ado, I give you my, "If the TC3 were arriving THIS Sunday, this would be my plan" plan.

Monday:

Well, there you have it. With most wishers and dreamers, this will most likely change a great deal. But it's a great place to start!

Is it wrong that the 'Nashville' portion of that itinerary is my favorite part? lol

Absolutely NOT!! In fact, I was actually going to PM you. I will be in BG, KY for a week or so before I head down to Orlando, so maybe we could figure out a meet?

Just a heads up....I thought I heard Yeehaw Bob say that he plays at POR Wednesday thru Saturday on the WDW Today podcast...but that was a few months ago.

And THAT my friend is exactly WHY I hang out here with all of you! Very excellent observation; I have not a clue why I just assumed, as I spent my few hours of hammering out this itinerary, that he'd be there every night! Like the guy wants to live there or something, just so I could see him any old time I waltzed in! :cool1::lmao:

Back to the drawing board!

I would LOVE that. Especially since I missed you this year!

Well I feel honored for being the first!!!!! Here's one more -->popcorn::
I always come over here to check up on what new plans you have... or just to read the funny banter.:lmao:

By your day 1 plan, I can see that the TC3 isn't going to be messing around! Now would your trip get here already so I can read your TR???????:lmao:

You know, it's funny you should say that, cuz, maroo and I were talking on the phone earlier, and we thought it'd be doubly hilarious if we just saved these stupid little plans (that we all know will change about 4 trillion times before we go :lmao:) and compared them to what we actually DO do! HA, do-do! I crack myself up!! Although, that's not so funny when that's what my dog does in the very places I need to go when it's dark outside! :scared1:

So, I'll just hang onto these little gems and we'll play compare-o-rama next September. Now, won't THAT be fun?!

P.S. Why does my ticker keep saying 11 mos. and 18 days? Is it like stuck or something, I know it's been more than 24 hours and it hasn't changed!

Can I join this party? I've got 11 months and 18 days to get caught up!

Thanks to the handy dandy links I'm sorta caught up and love the plans so far. I especially love your constitution, and the tye dye shirts (and have a suspicion as to where those were purchased!) I noticed an appearance of Maroo's in the tear jerking Lucas report.

Liesa, the employment letters from Disney are magical, what a wonderful piece of your family history!

I can't wait to read more

That is so, and I do mean SO, ironic that I JUST (I'm really NOT joking around here!) came from your PTR!! I figured, this lady is too much like me NOT to miss out on hers. What other kind of crazy person would start a PTR over a year out??!! :lmao:

Obviously, it will NOW NOT be acceptable to lurk on yours, so I'm going back to add yours to my favorites and will post!! Promise!

I'm pretty sure you won't have to slay too many brain cells figuring out where those shirts came from! :rotfl2: I can't wait to see mine- and won't until the day I get there!! Okay, that's just weird!

Those letters are in a letter hanger thingy, waiting to be framed. From those letters I learned a TON about Disney history that I never knew before. Did you follow that link in that post?? There are some people on these boards here than far outrank any of us on Disney history. I had no idea that the Disney Burbank studios housed troops on the day of Pearl Harbor!

Anyway, welcome to our little party! :dance3: We do have ever so much fun!

Ok.

First...I have not looked at Liesa's plans. These are from my head.

And I am sick. :lmao: So...take that for what it is worth!

One thing to note...we are not releasing the TOP SECRET plans for where we plan to eat. So...you won't really know all of my motives for why I have us going certain places until you know that...I had to rearrange a little bit to have us be close to where we eat. ;)

Here was my overall strategy.

* We have already established that we plan to take advantage of EMH. It is September and the hours are short - so you really need to or you will miss major park time.

* Having said that...I purposefully stayed away from a couple of early EMH's...:rolleyes1

* I tried to make sure we were at rope drop for each park. It is fun to see the rope drop "ceremonies" and being there early and walking quickly to our favorite attractions...and maybe riding them over and over until the lines get long or we get tired of riding. ;)

Ok...so here goes.

*takes deep breath!*

Your plans are not stupid, young lady!

I think we should compare these...to our "final, final, final, final!" plans and then to what we actually do. That would be interesting!

Of course!! :welcome: to our trip report!! :)

I love Lucas, his family and that morning....:cloud9:

:thumbsup2

It's scary how your plans are very similar.

Maroo.... You've been forgetting a few things lately...:rolleyes1

I'm going to blame it on the swine! I hope you don't forget to make these ADR's..... sometime in March I believe.

I was going to jump on your PTR to ask you a question, but since I started typing here I'll just ask it here. Last week (or so) you posted a list of Disney podcasts that you like. Could you let me know where that list is or repost it? I subbed to the DIS podcast and DL 3-4 episodes and I can't make it through 10 minutes of it.:duck: <-- that's me ducking from whatever flames are going to come my way. I really want to like it but it's not working for me.:sad2:
