Oh come on you guys!! she has gone on and ON about this one! She had to point out one of the clues, but I did figure it out. . .here's one more hint- think back to the days of "constitution" talk.

hmmm saving spaces - and on the Dis!

War of 1812 - isnt that the one that burned the White House, and Dolly Madison saved a bunch of stuff? (I do not have time to google!!)

I suffer from CRAFT and CSR so you wont get me to remember where y'all are going to eat - heck, I cant even remember where I'm supposed to eat - and I'm getting very very close to my adr 90 day!! :cool1:

Well, at least it's not at Fantasmic! And 20 more won't be joining me. Only 20 more catchy little chapter titles!

I dunno! :confused3 I gave up homeschooling high school history last year! :lmao:

For those of you who really don't care- (or can't even remember where YOU'RE supposed to eat), I'll post a cheat sheet list when we we're all done. :lmao: But, you feel free to play along. It'll be a fun test of your Disney eating establishments trivia knowledge.

NICE 16oz of milk but 32oz of beer!

Now that's my kind of war:)... except the standing 100 yards apart and then blasting away with a musket that takes 1 minute to reload!:sad2:

Now its beer and rum... It's a wonder that we were even able to win these wars with drunk soldiers all over the place.

SO where is the hint? Is there one in here? Maybe it is too early for me?:confused3

Yeah, it's hard to believe they could shoot straight at all after a few pints. :rotfl2:

Look in the text, my friend. Do you need your reading glasses?? If you can't cut the mustard, should I send another hint?? Remember, there's extra brownie points for those who can get it! ;)

I keep having to look up my ADRs and we're going in 12 days!! (Maybe I just wanted to get that in there...:rolleyes1)

I have no memory and no hint, so I'll go with Columbia Harbor House just because it seems to be a pretty popular one.

HA!!! Very fun, 12 days is really coming up fast!

Nope, not this one. Wanna guess again?

No more hints!! You stinker!!

I find it interesting that rations were increased to include not only rum, but vinegar.

Hmmn.

Ok, I was late to this PTR party and may well have missed much of the chatter.

Or I am incredibly dense (more likely). My guess is....

Liberty Tree Tavern?

LOL.. Keep sending the hits... I got your back!!!! (won't do much good since I'm 3000 miles away though! LOLOL)

I'm gonna say, and I'm probably way off here, Liberty Inn in the World Showcase.:rolleyes1

It's just a guess.:confused3 Although I feel like I should know this!!!

BREAKING NEWS>>>>>

A 16 year old boy was found dead at POR! Today. :( OUR Resort.

They don't know how he died? :sad2:

Major prayers to his family.

And the poor people in the Disney PR department. What a year they have had?

my vote this round is also Caseys.... remember the talk of possible issues and needing to head to a balcony :rolleyes1:lmao:

This is the only place I can recall discussions about

My vote is Casey's, ,too...

Can I vote?

I have the list of where we are eating...but ...

I keep forgetting! My trips...they are crossing in my brain.

Is it ME that you are going to need the notes for?

And are you dogging my coke addiction? :confused3

Maroo, that is horrible news. How tragic.

I know. Just horrible.

I was comforted some today to read that he had some previous medical conditions. It really doesn't make it any easier to lose a child...and on vacation...but I don't think there is any foul play or suicide or anything. (Which would just be so very tragic.)

In fact...in my heart I just have to believe that his last night on this earth was spent in a very special place. Maybe he died in his sleep one very happy young boy.

If I die in Disney World - you guys can just smile knowing that I was in a place that made me very happy and am now in a much better place! Or driving home from church...same thing...I spent the last hour in a place I love...just loving life.

Gosh...that is sappy. Anyway...

I agree...tragic. But was comforted some today.

Maroo- Horrible news.. I saw you posted this earlier but I have been running around all day trying to get last minute stuff together.

How do you get a vote????? HMMMMMMM????? Don't you know where you are eating?:confused3:rolleyes1

Leisa- I've read, re-read, and re-read again your post and I'm still lost.... I can't figure it out.:confused3 I think I am losing it!:rotfl: But my vote is in.

Okay, Ladies and Gentlemen, the time for the unveiling of primo eating establishemnt #1 is now!!! First, a few introductory remarks- I love to hear myself talk. :lmao:

The clues were imbedded in the text. Future installments may likely have a picture of what we're going to possibly eat to help you guess, but this was so incredibly easy that I just couldn't go the picture route. Here are the clues that were highlighted...

The first one is super, super easy. It's meant to be a warm up. In fact, I've already outright told you that we'll be eating at this one; so if you've been paying attention you should have this one as a home run. Here's the deal. I'll give you and eensty hint, and you just post on here where you think it is. No need to be secret with PMs and such. I will keep track of points, and we'll see who the big crackerjackpot winner is at the end. There will be 9 of each (TS and CS). If you check back with every new post, you won't even have to catch up too much.

Troops, carry on! Time for your guesses- let's have 'em!

Maybe putting them in quotes might have helped? But then that would have been too easy! I know the "9" was a stretch, and the "catch up" could have been spelled with a k, but....

The biggest hint was that we've talked (a lot) about his one before! Something about balconies, and rules and such.

Oh come on you guys!! she has gone on and ON about this one! She had to point out one of the clues, but I did figure it out. . .here's one more hint- think back to the days of "constitution" talk.

Bekka gave you a clue as well, and my response to her had on in it too. See?

Look in the text, my friend. Do you need your reading glasses?? If you can't cut the mustard, should I send another hint?? Remember, there's extra brownie points for those who can get it! ;)

Liberty Tree Tavern?

My experience with Brits and South Africans is that they eat vinagar on EVERYTHING. I think British Americans probably used to eat a lot more, but that liking faded out?? :confused3

Nope. Not the LTT. But you at least got the park right! :goodvibes

LOL.. Keep sending the hits... I got your back!!!! (won't do much good since I'm 3000 miles away though! LOLOL)

I'm gonna say, and I'm probably way off here, Liberty Inn in the World Showcase.:rolleyes1

Nope! Not Lib. Inn, either. After we hit this place you'll probably want to be 3,000 miles away. :lmao:

And yes, you should know it! You were part of that questionably contented discussion!!

That was terrible news. I went to the link you sent, and was so sad. I think he probably died of natural causes, and there wasn't any foulplay. I really feel badly for the family!

Hmmmm.... could it be.... I don't know...... maybe......Casey's?

Ta DA!!! You get one brownie point! :cheer2: How'd you get it?

my vote this round is also Caseys.... remember the talk of possible issues and needing to head to a balcony :rolleyes1:lmao:

Then your mind is just as depraved as ours. :lmao: We must have left quite an impression. :rotfl2:

You too, get one brownie point. :cheer2:

Yup, it's Caseys. It IS our favorite CS place, I think!!!

Notes??

Well, it was either that or your sweet tea. But I give you permission to poke fun at any of my addictions (coffee, Dole Whip Floats etc...). ;)

Maroo, that is horrible news. How tragic.

Truly it is. Disney has had a hard year with more than enough sad news. I was praying for this family last night and reminded again how fragile life can be.

Now!! Because we all like us some pictures, here ya go!

I found this on the restaurant review board- and credit must go to our very own punkin413 for this quite lovely shot of the grandest of meals in all of WDW. Can anyone tell me WHY a hotdog just takes better in the Magic Kingdom??!!

And as an extra, extra, really funny bonus, I'm including Mrs. The King's installment on her family's "dining" experience at Caseys. I'm sure this will one day make its way down to the annals of classic literature! Follow the link below, but please DO NOT have a sweet tea with you at your computer while reading! You've been warned!

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=27413955&postcount=277

Until Next Time, Cheers!

Awwwwww rats! I totally missed the boat (or BAT). I will pay more attention next time.popcorn::

I tell you... I read that about 20 times and nothing jumped out at me. :sad2:

Gosh! I really thought that was the easiest one!! I probably should have made the clues easier, but it was a little hard because the only serve one thing, so I had to go with the theming a bit.

I won't be able to do the next installment for a day or 2. We have a traditional wedding to attend on Saturday, which is literally an all day affair. You know our wedding veils?? They take that tradition to an extreme! They put a white cloth over the girl's face, and while a dombra-playing (like a guitar) Master of Ceremonies sings songs about her and the groom's family she has to stand there and give bows to her new family for about and hour or more!! Then after everyone is sung about, bard style, her new mother lifts the veil off. Then the dancing (and drinking) starts. Feasting is pervasive! Weddings are super fun! But I need to learn (memorize) my long blessing in Blank-a-stani. Everyone MUST give one, and I still HATE it! I always feel like vomitting when the microphone is passed to me.

How do you get a vote????? HMMMMMMM????? Don't you know where you are eating?:confused3:rolleyes1

If you only knew how many times I have asked Liesa for the list. I wasn't even SURE it was Casey's this time! :)

And I still can't remember where all we are going to eat. I know I like the places, though! :)

Well...for one... they USED to be (that's right...USED to be) all beef hotdogs. The "good" kind, ya know!

But I heard on a recent podcast that one of their cost cutting measures was to go to a mix of turkey, beek and pork (like a regular hot dog)...

I have to admit. I almost cried. I LOVE my Casey Dog. But figured there were probably much more important things to get upset about! :)

It's true. SHe's asked for it about 12 times. I think I need to get my Excel sheet made up, and send it to her. :lmao:

If I remember, you did approve the list. So, you should like them all...

WHAT!? First, no more Figaro Fries, now this travesty!!! :sad2: You know, this isn't the first time they've diddled around with my dogs. Last year they messed with my buns. (Let's not get carried away and take that literally, please!) They went with some whole wheat crap that falls apart in your lap. I know. Stop already!!! Leave them alone!

You better PRAY the tag fairy doesn't get a hold of THAT line!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

You know I didn't guess Casey's, despite knowing how much Liesa loved it in her last TR (what did you guys go there like three times?) because..

  1. of the bun issue
  2. and now the new "mix"

I figured that might cross it off the list.

Whoa, I learn so much from this PTR! The wedding sounds interesting and crazy!!!
