OK we all know DisneyDmbNut is going to be at The Wilderness Lodge for the next few days...So here goes...Reporting Live From Florida


Today: Areas of fog early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High 74F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mainly clear. Low 52F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies. High 72F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear to partly cloudy skies. Low 59F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 50s.

Sending lots of Pixie Dust and Sunny Skies for a magical trip!!

I was very disappointed in October not to receive a single towel animal after hearing so much about them. Upon expressing my disappointment on the boards, one poster suggested I leave a note for Mousekeeping requesting them next time if they don't magically appear. Oh- and I did tip everyday so I think I got a new Mousekeeper who maybe hadn't had her class on 'The Finer Art of Towel Annimals'. LOL! Something to look forward to next time.

Can't wait to hear your report!

Just a suggestion---we were there over the holidays and anticipating leaving tips, I prepared little red envelopes, cut blue cardstock to fit and applied Disney stickers on both---ddressed to Mousekeeping and wrote a note every day. We got 5 animals!!

Towel Animals...

On our first trip to the Poly...we had towel animals every day! My boys loved them. Last trip to AKL...No animals I knew they didn't always do it, but I was hoping. The boys were disappointed, but tried not to show it. When we came back every day...they quickly looked around the room, but never said anything.

I really am hoping for some this trip!

That is a great tip and it is one that I heard before I left so I had envelopes all ready and DD decorated them but still no towel animals. I hadn't told DD about them so she wasn't disappointed in not having them- only me.

BTW- the tip to have all your tips figured out before leaving home and in envelopes was one of the best ones I have heard!! Had things ready for the airport guys, the car from the airport, bellpeople and mousekeeping. Totally took the stress away from having enough bills to tip folks.

Guess getting the right mousekeeper helps!! But how do you do that? : ) If I were wanting to surprise kids, I might just ask for one after a few days without---but my husband might not--we're all different!! Good luck next time!!

Thanks to everyone, I can feel the warmth of all the PD & Prayers.

Little Kate is so precious and the sparkle in hers eyes tells you how special she is. Betsy, I could not think of anything that could bring me more joy then her hugging Humphrey. You are a person with heart and I am soooo glad to be considered a friend. I put the picture in my WL screensaver Just awesome and my deepest appreciation.
Old Humphrey had better be spreading the Magic on your stay or he is going to hear from me. LOL

Our FC is having a hard time resting as directed....I think we can all agree that he is not the type to sit and watch the world go by....so please keep him in your thoughts and think him well. The power of prayer can be an amazing thing!!

Corky Thanks so much for relaying the message from FC! I was just sitting here explaining (again) to my DH who was who on this thread, and telling him about FC and how I was worried about him, and wham! There was a note from the man himself1 (Thru you, of course!) So thanks for sharing, and please tell him to get lots of rest, as difficult as that may be, and know that we are all thinking of him and praying for him!

AND HOW ABOUT THIS LOUSY WEATHER UP HERE?????? Today it couldn't make up it's mind whether to snow, or sleet, or rain, or snow, or sleet.................you get the picture! So there ended up (?) being about 5 inches of slush to shovel and plow. And it's how warm in Florida today???????
