How do you walk around to the otter pond? The last time we were at the Lodge, my DH and I tried, but couldn't find any path around the building?? We thought it was only for those who had rooms on the woods side.

Yeah that's what they call me at work. I work for an Internet Service Provider / CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier for those that don't know...heh...) by day. I don't have any certifications but I guess I am doing something right! Been here for about 7 years now. So, even though I work in Cisco routers day in day out, I probably know enough to be dangerous compared to your hubby.

On the side, I do wired and wireless lan/wan integration consulting. This includes small to medium size businesses. It sure keeps me busy. I have a gift for gab too so it helps. (Something I'm sure NOBODY here would EVER have guessed! Hehe! Expecially those that have met me!)

Anyway, gotta finish up some work before the end of the day. Will be back later.

I'll be staying concierge with my mom (59) and sister (29) from 15th January, so I may see you there... hehe. I'm there until 30th January and my mom doesn't even know we are going concierge. I was too nervous about not getting it to wait until check in simply cos it's my mom's 60th birthday coming up and we didn't want her to be disappointed.

Fred- just was curious what type of digital you had and went to add that before sending and it double posted my message. I'm thinking of headed digital but haven't taken the plunge yet.

Digital all the way. I own an Olympus C3040z and recommend it highly. It can go all auto in case you don't know manual settings.

You should look into the C5050 as it's the one I am looking to get soon.

Are you going to ask for concierge at check-in or see if they offer it to you?

It doesn't seem like now would be a very busy time at WL.

Oh yeah? Where does he work? Just curious.

I plan on asking for an upgrade at the desk when we are checking in but I also know that a little birdy has delivered news of our pending arrival to some powers that be at the lodge so I am hoping for the best.

Who knows...what would be the ods of getting the suite upgrade twice? HAHAHAH!

I wonder if they are going to be busy this upcoming weekend for the holiday? Are you there for the weekend?

Take lots of pictures. I hope they let you tour the Yellowstone Suite. It would be nice to get an opinion from someone who has seen them both in person-even though everyone I speak with on the phone at WDW says stay in the Yosemite instead.

I hear they are pretty busy. Matter of fact, I almost didn't get a room at the lodge because of the package I am booking.

I like to take lots of pics but this time I may not even bring my digital camera. I will have the video so I can probably do a few from that. Trying to keep the stuff we would need to carry down to a minimum.

I would say that there is a good chance of me seeing the Yellowstone suite. Crossing my fingers for ya.

Someone remind me please? Are there irons and boards in the rooms at the lodge? We aren't going to pack one so I hope so. Also skipping the blow drier this time. Yippy!

Yes, when we were there last, there was an iron and and ironing board in the room, also a blow dryer.

Thanks FC!! I logged on specifically to see your forecast this morning! It is -12 degrees in NH this morning- even my thermometer wants to come inside!

Shopgal- I'm hoping for a mid Dec trip this year- maybe I'll actually get to meet a WL Dis Vet! I'll certainly get my timer going when things get firmed up.
