Does the Mercantile sell diapers and swim diapers? If so, does anyone know the brands, sizes, and cost?

I do not know if the mercantile sells diapers. We mailed a package to ourselves at WL which contained diapers and wipes. I sent it via FedEx Ground and it cost around $6 (from Connecticut). It arrived at the hotel three days after I sent it and two days before we checked-in. With FedEx I was able to track the package and knew who signed for it upon arrival at WL. After we checked in, DH went back to the front desk and picked up the package. We did run out of diapers while we were there (on our second to last day) and just bought a small package (about 14 diapers) at the Baby Station in EPCOT. They only had med or lrg and they cost just under $10 (alot for just 14 diapers, but we couldn't make due without them!!)
Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

...Tig-girl for agreeing. Who else thinks that this is a good idea??

FloridaCat as unofficial dis-weatherman-he has my vote!!

Mah Leeder has spoken.

Monday through Wednesday partly cloudy, 20-30% chance of showers.
Lows in the high 60’s, highs in the low to mid 80’s.

Starz723 should have had a very Pleasant day at the parks and no problem viewing Fantasmic.

shopgirl72, I ate at Bernardi's last year and they own Mona's. They have no idea of what good Italian food is down here, or I have not found it yet.

Goodnight WL VET "family" Have a special week and may the Lord shine his face upon you.

Wanted to stop in and say hello. I didn't get to check in all weekend, as I was busy painting living room-UGH, playing golf-YEAH, and watching football-HOORAY!

Sorry to all Yankee fans on this board (I know there are a lot of you).

And how 'bout a little love for the Unbeaten CHIEFS!!!

Here's hoping that all those at our favorite place have a wonderful time. I can't wait to talk to our neighbors, who just got back from a week at WL.

Fred, I plan on checking out Napster later this week for some of the missing songs (they reopen the 29th).

Have a great week everyone!

We just returned on 10/25 from our first WL stay. We loved the resort. We were in room 5010--north wing with a view of the Contemporary and the castle from our balcony. We were able to see the MK fireworks from our balcony. We had 2 queen beds and thought the room size was fine considering that we were not in the room very much. We had a great mousekeeper--she left towel animals every day for our 2 girls--we had crocodiles, flowers, dogs, cats, mice, angels, eskimo dolls, bear, and a few other. The kids were excited each night to go back and see what Devora had made for them. We returned early one day and were able to meet Devora and the girls thanked her for making the animals--she made them each a dog to take home.

What we especially liked about the WL was that everything is located in one building. We have stayed at POR before and we liked that resort as well, but didn't like walking all the way to the food court in the dark in the early morning to fill coffee mugs. Our room was very convenient--just a short walk down to elevator that took us right down to Roaring Forks, pool, boat dock, and just another short walk to lobby and out to bus depot.

We really liked the boat transportation--found the boats to be very reliable and timely. The bus transportation was fine as well, although I don't think that the buses were as timely as the boats. We waited about 30 min. for an Epcot bus one morning--while watching 3 buses for MGM and AK come and go. That is pretty annoying, but then again, I don't really understand the scheduling for the buses. All in all, transportation at WL was great--not a problem at all despite what I had read.

I know alot of people love the WCC, but we were not particulary impressed. We went at lunch and did not have a very "active" server. We had the girls ask for ketchup as we had been told and our server just brought a bottle over and helped them pour it on their plate. Maybe we should have gone at dinner. The kids did enjoy playing at the Lincoln Log table.

Our kids loved the pool. We were surprised at the number of people at the pool each day. We used the pool twice--once at night and once during the afternoon. I guess since we have always had the UPH we feel the need to go to the parks to get our money worth. We said for our next trip that we would only get a few days park hopper and allow the kids more time to swim.

Our flight out on Sat. was not until 5:30pm, but we decided to not do any park on this day. We checked out and had bell services store our bags. We then took the boat over to Fort Wilderness and went to the petting zoo and let the girls ride the ponies. They loved it! We then got back on the boat to the Contemporary, then monorail to Poly. We had considered staying at the Poly this trip, so wanted a chance to look around. I have to say that my husband and I both liked the WL better. The Poly just seemed a little dated. But we did enjoy looking around the pool and grounds. We then ate lunch at Kona Cafe (great sticky finger wings) and headed back to WL.

To make a long story short---we have never stayed at a deluxe because we did not think it was worth the extra money since we are never in the room, but after our stay at WL--I think that we will just have to save $$ a little longer because now we are hooked.

Great trip story! I love hearing first timers story...makes me fall in love with it all over again!

I have my reservation tacked to my bulletin board here at work...I can't believe it is only 97 days...with the holidays, it should FLY!!!

KCDISDAD, looks like Dick is working his third year magic again.

jmommy, thanks for your wonderfull report. Looks like the Lodge hooked another convert. Sorry for the disappointment at WC, strange. Please give it another chance. We always plan a day at the resort. It is a vacation into itsself.

Just wanted to pop in and say that Brother Bear is a great movie. Saw it this weekend. Has some sad parts but mostly funny and teaches a good life lesson. Not sure it really applies to WL though since it takes place in what appears to be ALaska or further north. You folks can see what you think, but a very good movie.

Good Morning To All!!!!:wizard:

Jmommy Hi!! What a wonderful way to start off a day but with a trip report from WL! I agree with FC, try WC again next trip, servers can have off, quiet days, and some prefer to get the quiet ones!! What a great treat for your girls to come back daily to the towel animals!

LOL!!! I enjoy just watching the chaos! I don't want to get in the middle of the ketchup wars!!!
You really should try the dinner or breakfast...they seem to go all out for those two meals!

ok...back to "work"
Betsy

I've got two weeks left of work before I leave for Florida!!!!!

we're driving to the Tampa area to spend a week with MIL and then off to WL on the 14th

I have done ZERO planning and know that while I'm in Florida for the week before WL-day I won't have access to the internet.

wahhhhhhhhh

Some area's of WC are quieter, too. We were seated in what they called the "library". While the main room was very busy, our section was pretty quiet. I had to keep my ears "cocked" to hear for the call for the kids to "race" the stickhorses. (My dd loved that.)

Watcha waitin' fer, gurl-friend??!?!?

(BTW ~ are you near Cranford and Westfield??)

Anyone know where Fred's been hidin' ??

(30 to go till I reach the "BIG 5-oh-oh-oh!")
