Like Mother, Like Daughter - I've Turned Her Into a Disney Freak!

Great installment Cammie! I'm so right there with ya on the Boardwalk. Although we're not DVC, we've stayed at BWI for the past two years and we feel so at home there. We haven't entered EPCOT from the front entrance in many years and not looking forward to doing it this year. Maybe I'll do what you did and take a cab.

LOVE that Grey Goose Slushie!!!!!!:cool1:

Another great installment, my friend!:goodvibes I know EXACTLY what you mean about going into Epcot at the IG- I LOVE the walk from the BC, the music, no crowds- walking through WS when it's not opened yet...I missed it my last trip. And the only glimpse I got of BC was when we crossed over the bridge in France. So different from all my other visits when I only stayed at BC.

And really, what is WITH the sauce!! That's a pet peeve of mine- too much sauce, especially actually on Italian food. It just turns the whole plate to soup or mush. :scared: YUCK!

Cammie - Great installment - loving all the pics!!! We won't even need cell phones in November - I'll know you as soon as I see you! :thumbsup2 Remember I'm the 72 year old man who hasn't bathed in a week, wearing a crooked toupee, plaid shorts, a dirty wife beater tank top, offering candy to little girls! :rotfl2:

I totally agree about entering Epcot from IG and it's been awhile since we've done that - but we're good to go in September!

Hi Alan! Thanks for coming over! I must admit, I was a lurker on yours - I loved all the pix you took! I was amazed at how much you and your DS accomplished when DW & DD took a break! Seems like you guys got to do alot together. It's nice to know that our kids don't mind spending time with us sometimes, doesn't it?

On a side note, I'd also like to mention how impressed I was with some of your DS's food choices - wish my DD would be a little more adventurous like that! Good job!:thumbsup2

Thanks, Cammie. This is a wonderful trip report you are putting together!

DS & I really had some great bonding time on our trip, and it certainly seems like you and DD had some great mother/daughter time. You're right - it is a great feeling to know that your kids still enjoy spending time with you! Like you said in an earlier post....let's just hope it will last through the teen years!

DS has become quite the adventurous eater! I am very glad that we did the Deluxe Dining Plan if for no other reason than the fact that DS was allowed to experiment with his menu choices. I was proud of him!

Again, great report - love it!

Im loving you TR so far - what a thoughtful Mom you are. I hope I can do this with my DD some day. Whip

Cammie - can't believe that about Splash Mountain. I would have needed lots of drinks and someone to fish me off that one. I am like you - certain they will kill me. I dunno. That is the part I dread about going with DH. He will encourage DS to take me on some awful ride... I just know it!!! Glad you had so much fun though!

Of course, being the anal control freak that I am, I now feel the urge to unpack the suitcases before I go to bed. !

It was here at the Fulton's bar that DD presented me with her gift......

Again, tears in the eyes! I just adore this child - she's the best! [COLOR]
Didn't see the unpaking at 2 am coming! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Did you notice that the guy in that pic appears to be checking her out! :sad2: :scared1:

Oh, Cammie. I cried at the BFF pin! Not teary eye... CRIED. That is it, I will never ever ever side with you again. :snooty:

Off to shower, I'll read the rest later - bang up job on the report there Cammie - LOVE IT!

"Mom, we've NEVER gone night-swimming at Disney before. Can we?" Good grief - the last thing I wanted to do was put on a bathing suit right now! But how could I say no? It was a beautiful night and this trip was all about doing what we don't usually get to do. Sooooo, I squeezed my stuffed, bloated body into a bathing suit
!
And then, my dear, you made me cry. What is up with the waterworks today. I would have LOVED to have a mom like you. You are so perfectly wonderful!

You're going to LOVE Raglan Road, Kara! And with it being just you and Jeff, you'll be able to hang out longer and enjoy the entertainment. I wish I could have done that. (maybe we'll put that on our list if we ever manage to do our "girls" only trip one day!)
Cammie - you think the kids would do well there in May or should we do it another trip? The food & beer sounds so yummy.

I have been lurking all week--I love your trip report!!!! I think its so sweet that you and DD spend such special time together!!! I'm sure that even though the HS years can be tough, you seem to have raised a great daughter who will stay close to you.
It looks like you guys had such a great time!!!!! Your TR has made me vow to try Raglan Road. That bread pudding looked amazing!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear more!!!

I think we may have to drap Ellen into Epcot on the 8th just to get her to try one!

Great update! Sounds like a great night in Epcot. Can't wait to hear about Toy Story Mania!

Toy Story Mania - most fun ever!!!!!

Love the Epcot resort area!:cloud9:

I think I must have had an off night at Chefs; Kat posted a pic of the same dish and it wasn't swimming in sauce. I made this joke earlier but I'll pull it out again.......I guess the chef that I was a "saucy" kind of girl!

I swear - you better not be that 72 year old man or you'll only be seeing the back of me ....... as I'm running away from you!;)

Thanks, Cammie. This is a wonderful trip report you are putting together!

Thanks Alan! I fully intend to bribe my DD with future trips to Disney if that's what it's going to take to keep us close!

Thanks Whip - I highly recommend it!:thumbsup2

My dear friend - stop crying. There's no crying in trip reports!

Yes, I noticed that young man checking out my baby!:scared1:

Cammie - you think the kids would do well there in May or should we do it another trip? The food & beer sounds so yummy.

Well, my first thought is: who cares if the kids would do well - I think you would do VERY WELL there. And, we all know --- if momma ain't happy; ain't nobody happy! But seriously, it's a very lively place so I think it's pretty kid friendly. I wish I could have stuck around longer for the entertainment - your kids may enjoy that for a little while. An Irish step dance actually jumps up on one of the tables to do her routine!

Oh - thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying my TR. And - you will not be disappointed in Raglan Road - so good and so fun! The bread pudding - it was amazing!

Well, you sound...ummm...very special....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes, on our other thread, we're all quite convinced that Kara isn't really who she says she is! :rotfl: I told her that I MUST meet her in Nov. to be convinced.

I'll give you girls some candy..... :rotfl2:

Cammie - lovin the report! Renee is right though, that young thang is checkin out your baby! And the Frenchies???? Oh, yeah! That is where Jeff and are are having our anniversary dinner. I'd better wear sunglasses so I can check out the scenery, huh? :rotfl2:

Unfortunately, no one was "stalking" me!:rolleyes1

I am glad I wasn't the only one who saw the double take the young man was giving Cammie's DD.

My oldest gets that often...then I often get a  look when they realize they did it right in front of the momma:rotfl: . My favorite one was the kid who walked right off the sidewalk:rotfl2: ( I am such a meanie!!)

Can't wait for more trip report (also enjoying the food porn thread and it's ALL YOUR fault:sad2: :lmao: )

You're not a meanie - there's nothing wrong with getting enjoyment from boys making fools of themselves in front of us girls!

Just want to know - would it be wrong to lock my daughter in a closet until she's 30?

Would that make Cammie a food PORN STAR! :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am thinking it does. :rotfl:

Hey, at least I'm a STAR!
