This is a great trip report! My DS13 and I are going in Aug. I can't wait to go with just my DS. We always have to go with Grandma, but this year I finally have the funds. I've been trying to find trip reports with just mom and teen, but they are hard to find. I can't wait to read more!

Looks like Yachtsman was great, can't wait to try it in November. Great pics of Fantasmic, that's something else we've never done, and don't have it scheduled for our next trip either, maybe 2009.......

The Yachtsman was very good; I've wanted to try it for years and it fit perfectly into our schedule this trip. DD is a big fan of Fantasmic; I think it's ok. Since this trip was all about her, I wanted to make sure we fit it in.

BTW, I'm not sure, did you really like TSM or not?

Is it that obvious? It's wicked-fun, I tell ya!

We really did have a blast! So much so that I'm trying to put together another one for next Feb. for her 13th birthday!

That's funny you haven't seen it before - we got stopped there two times that we've been there - trying to get past Mexico, and then WTH???

With all the time we spend in Epcot, I've never, ever seen that bridge up! Guess it's because I'm always hanging around that slushie kiosk in France!

That's great that you and your DS get to go! I'm sure you'll have a magical time. Another great thing about it being just the two of you - CMs at the rides were always looking for parties of two to fill out a ride car. Can't tell you how many times we were pulled out of line for that! Score!

She's so sweet - every year, she takes her allowance money and buys me a pin. The very first one she bought me five years ago was an Ariel and Melody pin that said "World's Best Mom". I cried. The tradtion has been carried on every year since.

So DD had made her purchase and asked if we could stop in at Fulton's before we headed into Raglan Road. Now Fulton's is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Disney. We eat there every year and DD was a little disappointed we would not be dining there tonite. We will be eating there in Nov., though; but she still wanted to go in so I could get this special drink that I always get - The Poprocks Martini

It's very good! The bartender puts strawberry pop rocks into the glass, then pours the mixture of Citron Vodka, Berry Fusion Vodka, cranberry juice and sour mix. Once the drink is poured the pop rocks start popping and cause the drink to fizz. DD gets a kick out of this and loves the fact that the CM always gives her the poprocks that are left in the envelope. It was here at the Fulton's bar that DD presented me with her gift......

Again, tears in the eyes! I just adore this child - she's the best! I only hope she still feels this way about me when the high school years hit!

I wanted a front row seat to see Capt.Jack; and I was keeping my fingers crossed he was one of the "hot" ones! I was not disappointed.....

this is the same one we saw on our trip! and he was definitely fun to look at!!!

and turned on our favorite show on Disney Resort tv - you know, you love her.......Stacey!

Again, I know some people say this girl gets on their nerves, but not us. If we're in the room, her "Top 7 Must-Sees" is on.

i find stacy annoying but it's funny because we ALWAYS have her on when we're there!

Thanks! And it's true what I've heard on these boards - do not be fooled by the large crowds that are waiting to get into the show. It was mobbed and we're at the end of the ramp waiting for them to let us in. Once they dropped the ropes and we got into the stadium, we were able to walk right down to the third row!

Thanks for the nice words, Ashley! My DD did have a wonderful time and I seriously want to plan another one. She's growing up too fast and I love that we can still have a great time together. It's nice to see that you were able to do that with your mom too! I hope a repeat trip is in your future!

Sorry for the delay in posting my last few installments - it's a little crazy here. My older DD (not my DD in this TR) has to have oral surgery next week and it's going to involve a hospital stay in ICU for a few days. I've been running around for pre-op appts. this week. And now I have to get ready for my family from NJ invading this weekend for her birthday party. I also think I'm slowing down because once I do the next installment, it means I'm just about done. This is my first trip report and I've really had fun reliving the memories. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to read it and glad you have enjoyed. Promise - TODAY a new installment will be up!

Funny about slowing down on the end of the trip report- I've been doing the same thing!!! I don't want my vacation to end for the SECOND time!!!! I'm going to do one for our upcoming trip to HHIR, though, so that will help!! (HAHA- I don't know which thing I'm more excited about- the actual vacation, or writing about it on here!!! That's just SICK!!!!!)
