Lightsaber on WestJet.

Does anyone know if I can take my carry on bag and a lightsaber on WestJet flights?

We were able to take it on with us back in February of 2020. There were 4 of us traveling and we didn't have a full carry on for each of us so I'm not sure if they counted it as a personal item or carry on for one of the kids but they had no issues with it. We put it in the overhead bin with the carry on luggage.

We went October 2021 and my husband was able to bring a carry-on and his lightsaber on the plane with no issues. To be careful, he kept the handle in his backpack and the blade in the carrying case.

You shouldn't have an issue, I've flown back twice on Frontier without anyone caring, including the desk agent when I explicitly asked if it was a carry-on (they charge extra, and he waved me past laughing that it was too cool to charge for).

The bigger concern is right now Disney isn't giving out a carrying case so you'll need to be extra careful with it is all.
