We just returned from a week long trip (6/24 - 7/1). We usually visit WDW 3 - 4 times a year and schedule the "off season" times to maximize the time there. We were pleasantly surprised, however, even given larger crowds, at Disneys ability to move people and keep attractions up and flowing.

I didn't see many threads regarding the new Lights, Motors, Action show at MGM. Maybe it was because we were there one of the few days that week when the cloud cover was nonexistent and the 95 degree sun was bearing on down on us, but the entire Lights, Motors, Action experience, we thought, left a lot to be desired. More appropriately, it should be "A Little less Talk and a Lot More Action".

First, the people flow and staging areas (including Fast Pass) are very confusing, crowded, and back up. Granted, the theater holds a lot of people, but so does Fantasmic, and as crowded as that gets, it loads better than this does.

There are primarily 3 main show scenes - each with about 4 -5 minutes af "Action". The rest of the time is "filler" time where the show hosts talk (i.e. Indiana Jones"ish") and correlate the stunts to how they are used in the movies. (which I suppose is in MGM style - but drag on FOREVER in the Florida heat, while sitting on relective, metal bleachers....)

Anyhow - We were disappointed in that after seeing this show once, doubt that we would go back again. The real benefit of this headliner is that the crowd pull opens up demand on the other attractions (ToT, RRC, etc.) and you should check the show times for LMA and meander to other attractions in that time frame.....

We saw this show in the rain in June and although there seemed to be some problems with crowd flow into the theater - we seemed to wait forever, we really enjoyed the show.

DS (5) still play LMA with his cars and motorcycles. He loved it. He can't wait to go back and take his father.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. Maybe it was the heat.

Having never seen LMA, I wonder if the reason it takes so long to fill the staduim is because you have to walk UP to your seat, where at Fantasmic you can walk DOWN to it? It just seems to me that it takes people longer to climb stairs than to descend them.

I agree w/ the OP on this one. When it was over we both looked at each other and said "not again". The way we were directed into the seating was a huge problem and everyone was complaining around us. This was the first week of May, it was hot but not scorching hot...waiting outside to be seated was brutal, I don't know if they've done this since but it would really help to have it covered. I'm sad the Osborne Lights had to be changed for this. :(

It could have been that our expectations were set too high, and the heat and crowd played into it also.

We do have 3 daughters, and I'm sure they are less apt to enjoy this type of thing compared to what boys would.

We were there when they were having soft openings back in March and the one thing I told my DH was that they needed to get the theater loaded a LOT faster. It wasn't "hot" when we were there, but I can only imagine how it would be there now. I was at WDW last weekend and didn't even attempt MGM and this show.

Personally, I am not a big fan of this show either. To me it's more "foam" than "beer". It isn't something I desire to see again and again.

I went to this is May. I came away with the same feeling; once is good but it is not an event that I will do again.

We were at WDW from June 8 - June 15. We went to Disney-MGM twice. The first time we saw Lights, Motor, Action we had fastpasses and had hardly any wait to go up the stairs to be seated. Then it began to rain and then thunder and lightning. They ended up cancelling the show after about 10 minutes or so.

Since we were planning another day at Disney-MGM, we decided to wait and see it again on that day.

When we came back on that day, we again had fastpasses, but everyone ended up all in one line and it took quite some time for everyone to get to the stadium and up the stairs. I did not like the fact that fastpasses were basically ignored.

However, our family LOVED the show. All 3 of my kids - DS(9), DS(6), and DD(2) - love fast cars and motorcycles. They love stunts. DW said they only thing she didn't like was that they "gave away" some of the driving "secrets".

We will absolutely return to see the show when we return. What I hope they do is figure a better way to get everyone in the stadium.

I have to agree with the OP on this one, way too much fluff and not enough action. I really enjoyed the bigger/ more impressive stunts in the later half of the show and would have liked to see more of that; more exciting stunts, a little more fire, throw in a couple of explosions for the fun of it and have less yacking by the director/film people and it would be much better IMO. We see some real scary driving on I-85 here so I would certainly hope for better from a stunt show :confused3 I would still reccomend seeing it, but once was enough for me.

The loading of the stadium took forever, but with some time that may improve.
