Sent Jordan a card today. Wendy & Derek, I hope you can update soon on how he's doing.

He is greatly missed.


I'm another one who loves the candid shots best. Here is one of my pre-teen son and teenage daughter after they spontaneously took each other's hand.

Here are a few from my first trip back in 2006.

My little sister being hilarious.

My sis and I clowning around in Norway (They moved the statue!)

This is my fave of the trip. He was one of the first characters I took a picture with. For every child that came up to him, he did little poses for them, like holding his gun out. When I came up to him, he held his arm out for me! I was totally smitten.

They just moved it to the other side of the store. So it's still there, ready for pictures!

I feel like I just dove in the deep end of the pool......I just went through and bookmarked all of Jordan's TRs and PTRs. I have always skipped them because they looked too massive - but I've enjoyed his comments on other boards, and feel like I know him (do you like how I am talking about him as if this isn't even his report ) from his cameos on other reports. So I tried to subscribe to some older ones since I know it's not something I can do in one sitting but they wouldn't let me. So I bookmarked them all. Now I am going to run to town and get some errands done before I settle in for some serious Trip Report reading

Didn't get too far - got confused and had to re-name everything. My Bookmark menu doesn't give many characters so I couldn't tell where to start So on my computer I have "JY5-31-09", "JY2-19-08", etc....(JordanYosh and the date of the first post in each thread). Now I have read the very first introduction, organized my bookmarks, and am ready to sign off an do those errands I said I was going to do

I got a card yesterday and Jordan said he's lost 12 pounds! He sounds like he's doing well. He did mention that it means a lot to him to get mail, so everyone who hasn't already written, I know he would appreciate it!

Although I have seen his posts on other TRs that I have read I had never particpated in them too much. Would it be too weird if I were to send him a card? I have just finished his first PTR and am about halfway throuugh part 1 of his first trip report (the one where Wendy is pregnant with her 3rd child)

Good job Rosie!! Every time I get on I feel like I need to post but don't really have alot to say.

Wow! 12 pounds! I hope they are feeding him. He wasn't over weight, I wonder why he's losing? Maybe he thought he needed to.

Same here, I've sent him a card/letter and haven't heard anything, but I don't really expect to since he's there for other reasons. I am starting to think about what to do for him for Christmas already. Does anyone have any thoughts? I remember him saying he liked a certain food he hasn't had homemade in a while so I'm thinking I'll make him that but haven't thought of to many more things yet. I'm purposely not mentioning what it is because I'm afraid he'll have 20 people send it to him! I'll tell you guys after I send it. I also have bags of chips (there goes his 12 lb. he lost ) and cups of noodles (a dozen cups) to send him. I'm wondering if this will be to much to send? Wendy...any thoughts on his access to storage space to put those things? He wouldn't need very much space for it.
