LTT was my 12 year old's first request for our upcoming trip. When we went two years ago it was one of their favorite character meals (Chef Mickey's being the other).
We ate there on 10/19. It was a fun experience, before MNSSHP. We definitely wouldn't return, if it wasn't for the characters though. The food is edible, & that's about it.
Could you expand on this please? I have 12 of us reserved here on December 30th and we need to be there most of the day to be sure we are in for the NYE fireworks preview.
If you were "stuck" at MK for the day/eve-is this one of the better spots or are would you recommend a another spot (also knowing the char deal is ending). Thanks.
While I understand that people need relaxing meals at MK too, I just don't think that LTT was the character experience to take away. It should have been the Crystal Palace meal. A meal with Mickey and Minnie SHOULD be at MK, the most kid-oriented park. (not saying it's just for kids, but it is the most kid-oriented)
I'm probably in the minority - but I'd love mickey and minnie to be in the castle for at least one meal!!![]()
With two boys, I don't think we'll ever eat in the castle whilst it is only princesses - could they not mix it up a little bit - say breakfast with mickey and dinner with the princesses???
You won't go hungry, but you could find a better meal elsewhere. You just can't find the character, theme combo anywhere else. Does that make sense?![]()
Yes, thanks. Just one thing though-where else in MK would you say is a better meal? I could call and check availability.

Since you have to stay in MK, your options are severely limited. We haven't eaten at Tony's, but have eaten at the rest. We really like Plaza Restaurant, but that's more of a lunch spot for us. We prefer the experience at LTT over CP. Cindy's is all about dining in the castle, & some in your party may not think it's worth the cost. Honestly, if I were you, I'd keep the LTT ADR. I'm sorry I made you doubt yourself. For your situation, I think you made a good choice.![]()
Pluto is also at Garden Grill dinner and breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey.I am so sad to hear about this. This is my DD's favorite character meal, the only place she gets to interact with Pluto and we have to go atleast twice on every trip.My favorite memories of Disney are of EMH nights at MK with DD, always starting with dinner at LTT. *sigh* I really hope that they're just making changes and will bring back the characters. The good thing for us is thay we have an ADR in January before the change, so atleast we'll get to go one more time! That was luck!
One of the things that I liked about LTT was that is NOT a buffet.
At CP you have to time your buffet trips so as not to miss the characters.
If you are seated when they are already in your section and the place is crowded... Either sit and wait or potentially miss seeing that character.
For those of you who say you wouldn't eat at LTT without the characters....have you ever had lunch there? Their non-character meal menu is wonderful and though we enjoyed the character meal there, I've always sort of wished they had the regular menu for dinner.
While I agree that I wouldn't go there for the family style meal that was served with characters (without the characters), I'd certainly have dinner there with the lunch menu- or a slightly expanded version of it. The crab cake appetizer is delicious.
