Hi Everyone! I booked all our dining last night for our trip March 2012. :thumbsup2

Based on some good reviews of Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner I booked not even looking at the menus. Mistake! When I went to the menu on Allears it stated the 'menu' for dinner was one entree - a 'Patriot's Platter' with Roast Turkey, Pork, one other meat (can't remember what), stuffing, vegetables, etc.

That was it! Can that be correct? If so I need to change already.

Thank you for any and all information, I appreciate it! :goodvibes

This is correct. Dinner at LTT is served family style. Which means they bring a large sharable portion of all the food to the table, which everyone helps themselves to. It is all you can eat so if you want more of any particular item just ask for it.

Lunch at LTT has a traditional menu with appetizer, entree, and desserts available. I have done lunch twice and enjoyed it both times, but this year we are trying dinner instead.

Our family ate at Liberty Tree in April. Food was excellent. They kept bringing more and more of it out. The turkey and pork were the best. The other meat was ham and it was only so so. The stuffing and potatoes were very good and tasted like homemade. The only piece of advise I can give is save room for desert. At the end the server brings out a big plate of apple crisp with big scoops of vanilla ice cream (the kind with the little bits of vanilla bean in it) then pours over a big pitcher of caramel sauce. And yes if you somehow manage to eat it all, they will bring you another plate!!! It was a great dinner and when you are done you walk right out of the restaurant and start enjoying the MK immediately.

There was Turkey, beef, and pork/ham. Plus mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, bread, stuffing, mac n' cheese. It was SO TASTY!!! And yes the dessert was awesome. :goodvibes I highly recommend it.

We love LTT dinner. It is the perfect "comfort food" spread. Everything was delicious and plentiful. And the dessert...Yummmy! :goodvibes

To me, LTT's dinner is comparable or maybe a bit below Cracker Barrel. (It depends on the individual item.) If you love CB, you'll love it. If you're used to having these items home cooked by a good cook, you probably won't be impressed. I grew up on country cooking & can't imagine anyone I know not making a much better Thanksgiving type meal. It really depends on what you're used to though.

Or family loves LTT! In fact it is a must for us every trip. I wouldn't compare it to CB, we HATE CB. If you have plain eaters, this is the place to be. I can go knowing that both my picky DD's and my picky DH will eat and not be looking for junk later.

. . . Mistake! . . . it stated the 'menu' for dinner was one entree - a 'Patriot's Platter' . . .

A good day to you Sir or Madam . . .
1) No mistake or error in judgment.
2) That is not the mere entree, ne, the entire meal.
3) But, fearful one, be not trembling or weak.
4) Ye will be well fed and properly feasted
5) Alas, your error was believing there was err.

Your Kind Servant.

It is a great meal! It's our traditional first night meal!!

It is pretty simple food, but we all enjoy it and are happy in the end!!

As far as "one entree" that ecompasses three different types of meats and you can ask for refills...the only reason you might want to change is if 1) you don't like any of those meats or 2) you're vegetarians/vegans. Not sure what the OP's problem with the stated menu was that they'd now want to change the reservation. If they're just worried that it's not enough food, it's an all you can eat deal served family style. You just have to ask for more if you want it.

My picky eater DS4 probably will not eat any of the dinner choices. Would it be possible to get something else maybe from the lunch menu? I know DS4 would eat a cheese pizza from the lunch menu. Anyone have success doing this?

You could try, but don't be surprised if they turn you down.

We went to LTT back in 2008 when they still had the characters.....it was my favorite character meal of all time until they got rid of it :(

Still, we loved the food and the theming of the restaurant & we will plan to go back there again. I agree about Cracker Barrel quality, but I'm a fan of Cracker Barrel so I enjoyed it! :)

I always want to try this meal, but the dessert concerns me. My kids (teenagers) won't eat that and would be disappointed in not getting dessert after having it everywhere else. Do they ever substitute any other desserts here? We always end up at crystal palace for this reason (not that I don't enjoy CP).

But if they say no, if anything, they can get a bowl of the icecream. And btw, its a very delish vanilla bean ice cream. sooo goood.

If he wont eat either of those things, then you could ask for a kids meal but im not sure if they would serve it at dinner.

:)

We like the lunch menu better. Why don't you check it out.

DS4 only eats PB&J, cheese pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries and just tried hamburgers. That is it. Oh! peanut butter crackers. We also have a breakfast reservation at O'Hanas and didn't want too big of a meal in the middle of the day. CS for lunch and then Liberty Tree for dinner.

Maybe bring in a cheese pizza from a counter service restaurant so the rest of the family can try LTT.

They probably won't allow you to bring in food from another restaurant. Someone once asked at Garden Grill if they could bring in food from Sunshine Seasons to eat while the rest of their group got the family style and the answer was no. I don't know if it is different for a small child, the person asking in the previous instance was an adult who just didn't like what GG was serving.

If you're at the table at a family style you're probably going to be charged for the meal.

I looked over the menus on the Disney website and they list a dinner menu, a lunch menu and then a child's menu. Looks like I could order off the child's menu for picky DS4. Am I wrong in assuming this?
