personally love the food at LTT. The Pot Roast and Colony Salad at lunch are great, as is the fresh catch salmon. Dinner is terrific all the way around. Particularly refreshing is the declaration salad appetizer with the signature strawberry vinaigrette dressing. Dessert at lunchtime is a MUST, as I believe LTT to have the best desserts in the MK, and that is saying something. As someone else said, the apple tart at lunch is amazing, either with the cinammon ice cream or substitute vanilla bean ice cream, mmmmm.
Random comments about LTT:
If you are into character interaction bigtime, book a late dining reservation (last seating is usually 9pm unless park closes earlier). As the restaurant thins out, the characters have less tables to visit and thus make it back to your table many times over.
All the food at LTT is NOT Stouffer's! In fact, the only product that is Stouffer's is the Mac-n-Cheese. Nothing else.
To correct another post in this thread, there generally is not another dessert available for dinner than the cobbler, which is currently apple cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. Exceptions: you can do just plain ice cream or plain cobbler, you can do a birthday cake for $12.50, either chocolate on chcoolate or white cake with vanilla frosting, or if you have an allergy, the chef will prepare a special dessert, usually a chocolate bunt cake. There is no upcharge for this. Additionally, there are sugar-free and lactose free ice cream options for no upcharge as well. But you cannot just say "I'd like to order the Pound Cake on the lunch menu for $3 more". That option does not exist.
The beef on the dinner menu is often mistaken to be roast beef, when in fact it is a grilled flank steak which is sliced thin like roast beef but is steak nevertheless. It is exceptionally good IMO
LTT always features New England Clam Chowder on its lunch menu, but it also features one or 2 additional "soup kettles" (soup du jour) which change frequently. Personal favorites include the Beef vegetable and turkey vegetable, as well as tomato florentine with turkey.
Menu updates:
LTT has eliminated both Fanta Orange Soda and Sweet Iced Tea from its offerings as of May 2006. Unsweetened ice tea is still available, fresh brewed.
The dinner rolls have changed in the last 6 months, and the honey butter is no longer available (rolls served with a regular butter now). The rolls are still very good IMO.
Dinner vegetable is green beans (changed in mid 2005 from cooked carrots).
Cobbler at dinner is currently apple cobbler (changed from cherry also in mid 2005).
The "Sandwich Heard Round the World" is the newest permanent addition to the lunch menu from mid 2005. It is a grilled trukey panini with a cranberry spread. Tip: substitute fries for the small mixed greens on the side for no charge.
Kids menu: there are no chicken fingers, child-sized hamburger, or hot dogs available. Current offerings include mac n cheese, corn dog nuggets, turkey dinner, grilled salmon, grilled cheese, and PB&J.
