Liberty Tree - Someone who LIKES it, please check in.

We LOVE LTT!!!

Hubby & I have eaten there on every one of our 7 trips together since 2000 & have an ADR to eat there this year before MNSSHP! The character interaction has always been just awesome here! Last May, Chip & Dale actually came around together to all the tables & caused a lot of mischief.

We also love the food & have never had a bad meal here - foodwise, servicewise & characterwise! HTH! Go & enjoy yourselves!! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

LTT is one of our favourites we have had dinner there every trip. My boys really enjoyed the character interaction and the food was really nice>

personally love the food at LTT. The Pot Roast and Colony Salad at lunch are great, as is the fresh catch salmon. Dinner is terrific all the way around. Particularly refreshing is the declaration salad appetizer with the signature strawberry vinaigrette dressing. Dessert at lunchtime is a MUST, as I believe LTT to have the best desserts in the MK, and that is saying something. As someone else said, the apple tart at lunch is amazing, either with the cinammon ice cream or substitute vanilla bean ice cream, mmmmm.

Random comments about LTT:

If you are into character interaction bigtime, book a late dining reservation (last seating is usually 9pm unless park closes earlier). As the restaurant thins out, the characters have less tables to visit and thus make it back to your table many times over.

All the food at LTT is NOT Stouffer's! In fact, the only product that is Stouffer's is the Mac-n-Cheese. Nothing else.

To correct another post in this thread, there generally is not another dessert available for dinner than the cobbler, which is currently apple cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. Exceptions: you can do just plain ice cream or plain cobbler, you can do a birthday cake for $12.50, either chocolate on chcoolate or white cake with vanilla frosting, or if you have an allergy, the chef will prepare a special dessert, usually a chocolate bunt cake. There is no upcharge for this. Additionally, there are sugar-free and lactose free ice cream options for no upcharge as well. But you cannot just say "I'd like to order the Pound Cake on the lunch menu for $3 more". That option does not exist.

The beef on the dinner menu is often mistaken to be roast beef, when in fact it is a grilled flank steak which is sliced thin like roast beef but is steak nevertheless. It is exceptionally good IMO :-)

LTT always features New England Clam Chowder on its lunch menu, but it also features one or 2 additional "soup kettles" (soup du jour) which change frequently. Personal favorites include the Beef vegetable and turkey vegetable, as well as tomato florentine with turkey.

Menu updates:

LTT has eliminated both Fanta Orange Soda and Sweet Iced Tea from its offerings as of May 2006. Unsweetened ice tea is still available, fresh brewed.

The dinner rolls have changed in the last 6 months, and the honey butter is no longer available (rolls served with a regular butter now). The rolls are still very good IMO.

Dinner vegetable is green beans (changed in mid 2005 from cooked carrots).
Cobbler at dinner is currently apple cobbler (changed from cherry also in mid 2005).

The "Sandwich Heard Round the World" is the newest permanent addition to the lunch menu from mid 2005. It is a grilled trukey panini with a cranberry spread. Tip: substitute fries for the small mixed greens on the side for no charge.

Kids menu: there are no chicken fingers, child-sized hamburger, or hot dogs available. Current offerings include mac n cheese, corn dog nuggets, turkey dinner, grilled salmon, grilled cheese, and PB&J.

OK, now I am getting cranky...no SWEET TEA and no HONEY BUTTER!!?? These two things differentiate the LTT from other WDW eateries.

I thought LTT was great for lunch, though have never gone for dinner. I really liked the colonial atmosphere, and the food just seemed so hearty. I still remember how much I enjoyed the pot roast.

We ate at LTT out of despiration last Oct, what a surprise! We hadn't anticipated the difficulty in getting a table for dinner anywhere (I foolishly underestimated how many people would be on the dining plan - and obviously was unfamiliar with this forum back then!)

LTT was the only place we could get 6 adults in for dinner at a reasonable hour. It was like a prevew of Thanksgiving without the work! We all enjoyed the food, and were doubly surprised to see characters come spend plenty of time at our table.

Would definitely do it again!

We ate there a few months ago and loved it. We thought the food was good as well as the service. We were able to see all the characters twice and everyone had a good time.

We ate there a while back and loved it. The salad was great and the food was perfect. I will say that the service that night wasn't great but that would not stop me from going again. The waitress we had did not originally know we were her table and then it seemed she never did remember. The food is good down home cooking with basic mac & cheese from Stouffers. My kid's loved it. Go and enjoy!

WE LOVE Liberty Tree Tavern!!!

We ate there for the first time last year and FELL IN LOVE!!! DH had been going through withdraws of sweet tea and this is the ONLY place that had it so we decided that it had to be good. The food is what we are used to down here in Tennessee, so we were right at home. The apple crisp was awesome and I HATE baked fruit!!

The characters were AWESOME and came by our table at least every 5 minutes. We have more pictures from this place than any other. Chip and Dale were doing backflips off the big staircase and our kids loved it.

TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT!!!!

I am so glad to hear good reviews of LTT. We want to stop there for lunch, but from all the neg. we almost reconsidered.

Thanks!

Lori

Dh and I LOVED this place. I can't believe in all my 18 or so trips (last one with DH was #19) I never tried it before. Great food, AWESOME service, and the best character interaction we've EVER had. In fact, when we go to the local buffet place (Golden Corral) we pretend we're at LTT because the food is so similar (comfort food).

Love LTT!!! This is our families first night dinner tradition.

We loved it last month!!!

It was our 1st time eating there & we said "Why haven't we been eating here EVERY trip?

We ate there on Mother's Day for dinner.
Great food & freat character interaction.

I can't comment on the character dinner, but we love having lunch there and make a point to eat there on every trip.

We ate there two years ago and loved it. Loved the food and atmosphere. We are going back there this year.

My family loves LTT. Last time, we had late reservations and my kids got to watch the start of the parade from the window with CHIP. :)

I'm surprised at this topic. We're not "everything is magical in it's own way" people but we like LTT!

I love family style meals! The Macaroni, and turkey =
