Liberty Tree or Crystal Palace

Hi Everyone, I was wondering which you would choose if you were a couple with no children but loved buffets. We'll be in MK to see the parade and fireworks at night so I was thinking of either the Liberty Tree or Crystal Palace. Anyone have any input of the food or preferences. We know liberty tree has waiter service and that doesn't really make a difference to us. Obviously character dinners will bring lots of people and kids, but is one place maybe not so loud as an other? Thanks so much, Robin

I have only been to crystal palace during prime dinner time, it was noisy, with lots of kids, obviously. Characters do a line dance through the restaurant with kids (and adults) every 30 minutes or so. Different characters in the two restaurants if that makes a difference. I thought, for a buffet, it was good food! Desserts were great!

I much prefer the LTT, but the menu is more limited. It's a family style dinner rather than a buffet. They bring serving bowls of a set menu to your table and you serve yourself. It's pretty much Thanksgiving dinner...turkey, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, etc...VERY YUMMY!!

It is also a little more quiet as everyone's not up and down to get food, and it's divided into smaller rooms so the sound is more contained. We try to eat here every trip!

Thanks for your replies! I think we're going to go for the Liberty Tree. My boyfriend loves Thanksgiving dinner!

:D

I choose LTT over CP. I love the dinner at LTT and it wasn't as noisy. Plus, Goofy picked on me, which was pretty funny. The meal was awesome. Definitely got my money's worth and then some. You'll love it.

Good thread! We haven't had a meal at either place yet and we have been to WDW 4 times since 2000! We will definitely have to try LTT the next time we are there. We couldn't get a PS the last time we there this past Dec.

BTW, is it me or does it seem like there are a lot of members from NJ on this board??!?!

Been to both. Strongly prefer the food at CP. I think the buffet choices are excellent--carved meats, shrimp, chicken with caribbean influence. And then there's the desserts--flan, key lime pie, velvet cake, turtles, etc. We used to plan dinners at LLT, and then we discovered the CP.

I'd check out Deb's menus at www.allearsnet.com to help decide.

Love LTT! I think I have posted a million posts saying that. We "accidently" found it and couldn't have been happier. It was so yummy, even our 5 year old ate.

We have done both and the LTT wins hands down. It is in fact our favorite of all character meals. It is much calmer yet lots of fun. The food is out of this world delicious!!
