Liberty Square for afternoon parade?

Is Liberty Square a good place to watch the afternoon parade? I wanted to arrange my touring plans so we would be in Adventureland, but we're probably hitting that first and will more likely be in Fantasyland.

Nothing wrong with it. I don't know if Maleficent will breathe fire in that area due to the relatively tight quarters. I know she does in the Hub, conditions permitting.

In mid-June she breathed fire near the transition of Frontier land to Liberty Square.

We have enjoyed a spot right across from the Liberty Tavern against the stones. We got to sit down and now one came in front of us. Perfect spot for pics

Yes, the dragon breathes fire along that stretch as well. We've watched from just in front of the trading post.

This. It is my understanding that the frequency is reduced but she indeed does.

OP, if you're visiting from now through say September, OKW's spot may be a good bet as it is very shaded (you may even get some of the breeze from the AC inside) and you won't have to show up quite as early (less time in the sun).

Thanks. I'm looking for a spot I don't have to stake out too early, and isn't too far from Haunted Mansion. I'm going in March, so shade won't be as important (I think). I think all of my kids will be taller than me by then, so I might not even be too put-out if we have to stand behind people. Sitting in front of stones sounds nice. lustergirl, did the dragon breathe fire there? How early did you have to snag your spot?

Also if they will allow you to sit in front of the Hall of Presidents, that is a great place because the A/C drifts out of the doors and can keep you cool.
