Levain Bakery (compared to Gideon's Bakehouse)

I have not made it to Gideons yet but I have 78 hours in NYC this upcoming weekend. I just realized that I will be Levain Bakery. I seen multiple people compare them to Gideons. Anyone who has experience with Levain's, can you let me know if a side trip is worth it & what you like to order?

I happen to think that Levain is better than Gideon's--more cookie to chip ratio whereas Gideon's tends to have a lot of chips. Get the classic chocolate chip walnut and the chocolate peanut butter chip cookies, and enjoy!

Depends if you like more chocolate in your cookies. Gideon's has way more chocolate. I prefer Levian’s - the oatmeal raisin is actually my favorite and I don’t even usually like those.

Really love the baguette with butter and jam if they have it. Those run out fast.
