Disney Vacation Club
Letters from home
I thought other members would like to know of a new tradition started by DVC member familys last year. Last December our family was traveling to disney to partake in the Holiday magic. We were bringing a small Christmas tree and some lights. I mentioned in passing to other DVC members I was willing to share the tree and pass it on for others to enjoy. What happened next was the start of a new tradition!
This little tree went from The Bartlett-Cahill family of Cape Cod, to The James Crew of Newburyport, MA, Then on to the The Karlson family Of Illinois, and to the Amick family Of Nashville TN, and lastly the O'Connor crew of Niagra Falls N.Y.This first year the exchange involved one small tree and several changes of home resorts.
In December of 2004, We have all onsite DVC resorts chiming in Via DVc families .Each will have it's own tree and we to date have 21 member familys sharing the holiday spirt.
To quote another DVC member ( Neil from Ontario) " A grand tradition and true sense of family many have, seems to have developed through DVC membership.
If you have the pleasure of Celebrating the Holidays this year at Disney vacation club resorts, Take a look and see if you can spot our member trees, We will display them proudly in our home away from home! I am thankful to be part of the DVC family and look forward to many more Wonderful vacation experiences.
