Lets try something a little upbeat

I love the Three Dog Night!! Very over looked band!!!

Sorry Lars. I think I've heard of the Knack before, but I'm not sure! :p Are they the ones that sang the song, "Just Stand By Me"?

Next song:

Take another shot of courage
Wonder why the right words never come
You just get numb

LOL! That song never phased me. And I sat here and watched a Three Dog Night concert on TV last night! :p :p

I think we may need a few more lines, Pin Wizard, but is that How Long Has This Been Going On? (not sure if that was the name of the song or not)

Nope.

You've been sayin' about me
Behind my back
Is it true you might want a better life
Is it true you think

Baby Hold On To Me (or at least I think that is the name)

I was a huge fan of the band that recorded this song:

Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street.
Chicago, New York, Detroit and it's all on the same street.
Your typical city involved in a typical daydream
Hang it up and see what tomorrow brings.

:)

Haha! So am I, so is Leota!! :p Anyone else out there a Grateful Dead fan??

Truckin' by the Grateful Dead.

Ah, another Dead Head, eh? I knew Leota was, I didn't know we had you in the club too, Saffron.

Your turn!

Okay! Well, sticking with sort of a Dead theme, how about:

I've seen the bright lights of Memphis
At the Commodore Hotel
And underneath the street lamp
I met a Southern bell
Well she took me to the river
Where she cast her spell
And in that Southern moonlight
She sang a song so well

Another one of my favorite bands, Little Feat.

That song is Dixie Chicken. :)

I have a feeling you will know this one, Saffron:

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky.....

Heehee!! One of the best songs ever written!!

Into the Mystic by Van Morrison. :)

Ooops, I guess it would have been a little more challenging had I not put the title of the song in the block of lyrics! Heh! I knew you would get it anyway though. :)

That is such a beautiful song snoopy. :) I think I remember reading that it's a special song for you and your DH. :)

How about this one? :)

Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say
It's just ol' Luke, and Luke's waitin' on the Judgement Day.
"Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?"
He said, "Do me a favor, son, woncha stay an' keep Anna Lee company?"

Saffron-
The Knack sang "My Sharona"

That was probably their most famous song, does it ring a bell?

Yes Lars, it does. :) I wonder who I'm thinking about with the other song then? ROFLOL!! That song, "Just stand by me, okay, now I got a job, but it don't pay ..." Does that sound familiar? ROTFLOL!!

I do this sort of stuff in the CD store all the time. Sometimes the people waiting on me are really nice, other times they think I'm a little whacky!! LOL!!
