So young to be loose and on her own
Young boys, they all want to take her home
Hot Child in the City

That's right Pin Wizard........you're up

All the days and nights that we know will be
I will stay with you will you stay with me
Just one single tear in each passing year there will be

Follow You, Follow Me by Genesis :)

Haha! One of my all time favorite songs! I love the piano in this:

... Now Big Jim the Chief stood for law and order
He called for the guard to come and surround the border
Now fron his bulldog mouth
As he led the posse south
Came the cry "We got to ride to clean up the street
For our wives and our daughters!"

You can't talk to a man when he don't want to understand ...

Smackwater Jack, from the fabulous Carole King. :)

This song is from an album that was one of the first I ever bought, if not the first. When preparing for a garage sale I had a few months ago I came across it and couldn't part with it, of course. Not sure what I'm going to do since I have no record player, but for nostalgia reasons, its still with me.

I'm sure anyone born in the mid 60's and earlier will recognize this song:

I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knocking at my brain
Before I go insane
I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:

ROTFLOL!!!! That song gets stuck in my head, the same way Octopus's Garden gets stuck in my head!! ROTFLOL!! If pops in there and I sing it all the time!!! :teeth: It is:

I Think I Love You by The Partridge Family!!! :teeth:

I can see David Cassidy right now. :teeth:!!

Fireplug breaks out in a cold sweat and screams

I THINK I LOVE YOU by the Partridge family

Steve

We love you too Steve! LOL!!! :teeth: :p

How about this one from the mid 70's:

Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy
Workin' on mysteries without any clues

That is Bob Seger's Night Moves.

Lets try this:

She tears you down darling
Says you're nothing at all
But I'll pick you up darling
When she lets you fall
You're like a diamond
And she treats you like glass
Yet you make it hard to love you
But babe don't ask

That's Bob Seger singing "Night Moves"......no one from MI can miss that one.....he's a hometown boy.........

Here's the next one.............I got this albun in the 8th grade......

So you call her on the phone
To talk about the teachers that she hates
And she says she's all alone
And her parents won't be coming home 'till late
There's a ringing in your brain
'Cause you could've sworn you heard her say

Snoopy, That's If I Were Your Woman by Gladys Knight (i think).

Here's one!

Whenever I feel they're closing in on me
Or need a bit of room to move
When life becomes too fast
I find relief at last

Smee, you are correct.

Lars, I have no idea what yours is.

Hints for mine..............1979..............it was a band not just one person........big hit album...........this song was hit but not their biggest one.......

Smee, your song is from one of the most under rated bands of the 70's, IMHO. I just love them!! Your song is:

Out in the Country by The Three Dog Night

I love that song!!!

Lars ---- I have no idea what song that is. :) Was it disco?? :)

No not disco...........it was "Good Girls Don't" by the Knack from their album "Get the Knack"
