For a first-timer using ME, can someone clarify the new rules regarding the number of tags we will receive in the mail? Is it one luggage tag per household and I have to call for more, OR is it one luggage tag per registered guest using ME??

Yes 1 per registered guest is what they send.

Considering the new baggage fees, most people are only checking one bag. So they are only issuing one tag per person on the reservation.

However, if you need more, they can send them to you. It is just cheaper for them to send out additional tags for the few people that will ask for them - than to send them out to virtually everyone.

Thank you for asking this question. When I received my ME tags I did not notice that there was only one per person. That would have been an issue for our trip. I would not have even noticed until I went to put them on my bags next month....that would have been a big oops.

And once on the phone they said they did not have my flight information even though it is on my reservation. Another oops.

Going to Disney, the flight number is for DME's planning purposes, to estimate how many people are arriving when and estimating the number of buses needed through the day.

You may arrive early or late depending on when exactly the plane arrives and whether you decide to eat something before going to the welcoming area. No need to hustle say if the plane is late.

That is more than enough time. You should allow at least 90 minutes from the time you deboard the plane.

Can anyone remind me of how long in advance we need to be back at the hotel to board ME on departure day? Is it 2 or 4 hours prior to our flight leaving that we have to get on the bus?

Since you will be taking a domestic flight, it's 3 hours.

The bus will leave three hours before your flight; you need to be back at your resort fifteen minutes prior to that.

Remember, if you have held any carry-ons at Guest Services, also allow a few extra minutes. We were to depart at 4:00 pm, which is the time when check-in started at the DVC we were staying at last year - first time for me. I got back around 3:00 pm and even then, it took about fifteen minutes for them to retrieve our carry-ons, because they were so busy with people arriving.

And the three hours is approximate and can vary from a little bit earlier to a little bit later. Our pick-up time this past Saturday for a 6:50 p.m. flight, for example, was 3:40 p.m. or three hours and 10 minutes in advance of the flight.

DME schedules pick ups every 30 minutes. Your DME pickup will be 2:46-3:15 before your flight.
