Hi all! We have visited the parks in February, July, September, October, November, December, but never in May. We are considering going in May of 2016, toward the early/middle part of the month, staying at the Beach Club or Boardwalk if there are still points available to rent. How have your May experiences been? Good weather? Horribly crowded or not too bad? Suggestions? TIA!

We went later in May 2014 and are planning for later in May 2016. The crowds were manageable up until Memorial day weekend/24 hour party and even then it wasn't that bad. I will say it got a lot hotter than what I expected for that time period - heat indexes in the 100's. I would venture to guess that earlier in May you won't see that warm of temps and the crowds would be even less before schools start letting out.

We were there the second week of May a few years ago. The crowds weren't too bad; on the moderate side. The temps about did me in, however...in the mid 90s the whole week. The full humidity hadn't kicked in yet, but the sun was SO intense! Since you've been in July and September though, you should be fine.

Would May be a good time to exercise the Water Parks during the day and the parks after sundown?

May is a great time for the waterparks. We were there in late May 2014 and there was less than 50 people at the waterparks when they opened in the morning.

Excellent news! We'll be staying at POR - close by to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. :thumbsup2

GREAT :cool1: time to go up until Memorial Weekend, then the crowds have arrived.

I've been in May the past 2 years(for SWW) and I actually enjoyed it a lot! The weather can become hot at times, but honestly, I was just down there the end of September this year and found it much more humid then in May! I am trying to convince DH to go back this May ;-)

April (as long as it's not Easter) and May are the best time as far as the weather is concerned IMO. Our last May trip was the week leading up to Memorial Day and it was pretty hot but the crowds were manageable.

Our last trip was end of April/early May 2014 and it was 90-100 every day from about 11-4:30. Early mornings were nice, late afternoons were sometime thunderstormy. Our last night was cool and rainy. We were there during the end of dance competitions, so there were loads of kids but it never felt too crowded.

This year, we had already booked our trip for the now-cancelled SWW in mid-May. We will be better prepared for the heat (got Frogg Toggs this time and I am wearing skirts pretty much every day) and I can't wait to go!

Stick with early to middle May and the crowds should be fairly low. We have visited a number of times during the last week of May when we had to wait for kids to get out of school. Not bad crowd wise but more than when we visited May 10-16 in 2014 without kids; we had excellent weather during this visit.

The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is still going on through the month of May which is a nice addition for Epcot visits.

Just saw the post above about the cheerleaders or dance. There were huge groups at the airport leaving when we arrived (10-May-2014) so I think we missed them by a few days.

For as long as I can remember we've stayed in May. The weather is very similar to October weather. Though it does get hotter and more humid as the month goes on. F&G Festival has been extended for 2016 and that is such a beautiful time to visit Epcot. Not sure if no SWW will affect crowds this year? Usually there is an afternoon shower/thunderstorm.

Our first two trips were in May - wonderful weather, F&G was fun, crowds were moderate. I'd love to go back then, but can't until I retire, or take an unpaid leave of absence from the school I work at.

May is our favourite time to visit. The weather is warm to hot but without much of the horrendous humidity of July and August. It is great weather for enjoying cooling pool breaks and evening swims. Flower and Garden Festival fills Epcot with topiaries, food stalls, horticultural tours and talks and Flower Power Concerts. Also, early to mid - May, the crowds are more manageable than in the Summer months. The first two weeks of the month are particularly good.

As you can probably tell from my ticker, early May is our next trip time!

We did the first week of may last year after going in January and February
We liked it so much we are going the same week again in 2016
For us the ony down side was towards the end it was a bit on the hot side for us

We went the second week of May back in 2014. The weather was perfect and crowds were manageable. In Fact it was little cool for me in the mornings (in the sixties) and mid 80"s by afternoon. Yeah the sun was hot but humidity was not present. Plus I love the Flower and Garden fest. For me it is a toss up between early to mid May and early October which has the Halloween party and the Food and Wine Fest
