Ok guys. I am 7 days from my trip and I have just been reading some pretty negative threads lately. They're gettin rid of the fillets,, reataurants are terrible... CM's are rude... rides stuck,,, bad weather... Ok guys sorry to go Richard Simmons:banana: on you but if I have to get little red shorts on (and believe me it won't be pretty:confused3 ) Let's get some good things going on! Please someone tell me of something GREAT at Disney lately.:cheer2: ..please who has had a great Disney Cm they can brag about. What makes Disney magical and how can we overcome it when we feel wronged at Disney?? Please guys! I need you to pump me up I am feeling a little blue after reading some of these posts!..Not that I think that we shouldn't share,I cringe for people who have bad experiences:scared: ! but I would love to see some Disney magic flowing!!!

DD is leaving in a week too!!!!.......i wish i was going with her!!!

as for positive things.....i have sooooooooooo many positive things to say about disney it would take until the next millenium for me to write it all down........i don't even know where to start....
just about every CM we encounter is outstanding!!!...and the rest are just great!!
really...i don't know where to start.....
should i talk about the amazing meal DD and i had at citricos in november? the stupendous food and service?
or should i talk about the great time we had at disneyquest?....how funny the CMs were at cyberspace mountain (which we had all to ourselves for about an hour - we kept building and riding new ones as they encouraged us to go for a 5)?....
or how the CM at the 50's prime time cafe remembered us from our past visit (she immediately asked where DH and DS were....and then of course, did a whole 50's prime time shtick about it)..
or how the manager at the All Star Music resort personally welcomes guests as they arrive at the resort for check in?
or the outstanding service at tokyo dining at epcot?
or about the wonderful CMs we had for the segway tour around the world?
or each and every amazing CM guide we've had on our annual guided fishing tours over the past 8 years?
or how interesting the behind the seeds tour at epcot is (and we couldn't believe we'd waited so many years to do it)? and how sweet our guide was?
or our favorite private dining waiter at the Grand Floridian - is his name howard???....i can't believe i forgot....who totally went above and beyond to make our stay perfect?

should i go on?

Oh bless your heart for overflowing with happy for me!:hippie:

I feel re-energized already! :cloud9:

My nerves have been getting to me a little over this trip we have planned for 2 years, but now we are ACTUALLY GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

7 DAYS! Woo Hoo!

I hope I can come back with happy to add to this!

Oh, you know the saying....for every 10 complaints you get one compliment.

I can think about alot more right about Disney than wrong, but we can be a tad grumpy here sometimes, I go to the Theme Park board to get my excitement on.

I may complain some, but still can't think of any other place I'd rather go on vacation.

Just close your eyes and picture yourself in the Magic Kingdom, blue sky (hopefully) as the backdrop to the castle, heading up Main Street, the music, the smells, the anticipation.....:goodvibes

you are going to have a wonderfully magical trip!!! :wizard: :wizard:

and if some little not magical thing happens, as can happen, just let it go.....don't let it spoil all the good stuff...because i'm sure it will be mostly good....

DD is leaving august 31, but spends the first 3 days in NYC...
she'll be at WDW from sep 3rd to the 17th!!!!!!....
she's going with a girlfriend of hers, who has NEVER been to WDW!!!
how exciting for them both!! (i wonder if she'll notice if i stowaway in her backpack.....hmmm....)

Break out the red shorts!

Something positive would be if they add new things for what they are taking away.

First of all - sooooo jealous of 7 days!!

I have to wait for 33 days (32 if I don't count today)
Must have my negativity deflector turned on or I am in vacation bliss mode :lovestruc

where to start???

This is my first *ever* trip to WDW.
I am driving everyone who loves me crazy,
most of my sentences start "I read on the disney boards..."

No dishes, no cooking, no cleaning. :cool1:
I am giddy with anticipation.
Just being there is gonna be great.
The smells, the sounds, the people who make your day a little magical.
I have often found joy in chatting with people around us.

I am hauling my butt outta bed at 3am, flying across the country, DD missing school, spending $$$ for
The Disney touch.
Can't find that anywhere else.

Any of this on your list?
arrival day we get to ride on
Magical Express

I like to think we hear more about the negative because its less common. Kinda like the old dog bites man isn't a story, but man bites dog is a story.

There are always a few issues on any vacation, but in all my trips the positives far outweigh the negatives.

We had a great time out last trip, great CMs everywhere!! Thats why the bad ones stand out so much.

Anyway, you'll have a great time with that positive attitude, no worries!!

I always say no matter what bad experience I've had at disney something wonderful will happen not to long after to make that bad experience not as bad!!

long wait in line for Toy Story Mania= whipping my DBF butt in Toy Story Mania, and bragging rights for the rest of the day!!!

Thanks for starting this thread... I too have been plagued with only hearing about bad stuff lately, and I started to focus on that instead of... being on vacation in my favorite place in the world.

It's been such a tough year+ for JC and I. It's the only thing that I'm holding on to at this point... and barely by a thread. We desperately need some time away from "the real world"...

I'm even crying as I write this post. God, I need some pixie dust BAD.

Only 28 more days to go...

Close your eyes, click your heels three times and repeat after me

"There's no place like home,
there's no place like home,
there's no place like home"

I hope the moment your in moves on past and
the sun comes up again
~kinda like the weather in Orlando

I know how you feel honey! Hang in there! Life is not always easy and that is why I wanted us to refocus! Disney is not Heaven. Heaven will be perfect ALL the time. Disney never will be. I think some times we expect too much out of people! I listened to a preacher this weekend that spoke about keeping our expectations in check. Have our expectations in the right place...in God...but take joy in the happy places... like Disney! Now don't get me wrong I think they should be trained well and do their job well especially when you spend so much money to be there, but that's life right?

I am thrilled by the posts. gr8leg8 thank you for all that. Smiled from ear to ear and sang along... several times HA! I might see you there for a Dole whip!if I can talk my other family members into it!

37 more days for me........

I am sad because I only booked for the 1-7 and am thinking I should stay longer. DD is in school though so I know I can't. Good news, DSister and nieces will be joining us for one day, driving down from St. Augustine.

The pics above made my heart leap and get a little excited. Keep thinking to self...

Food & Wine....Food & Wine.....champagne and chocolate

MNSSHP for the first time (still no idea about costumes for the two of us)

Get to go on the Haunted Mansion this year it was in rehab last year.

Get to try a new resort this year (POFQ).

Just remember to smile and the magic will happen!

Just back last week... and I have to say the positives far outweighed any negatives! Even during the crowded time of year ... here's just a few, there were way too many to list!

The CM on our first night at MK, who noticed my daughter's bday pin... and wrote her out a fastpass to use on her favorite ride (good thing too, 70 min wait for Space..)...

The awesome CM at All Star Sports who went out of her way to get us a room for our second night even though the resort was booked (it was that or off-site for that night.. .my fault for a last minute trip!)

The chef at Kona Cafe who came out to talk to my niece when she loved the soup, he's taken her name and email and is going to send along a modified version of the coconut soup that feeds less than a few hundred people! We ate here twice, and both times our servers were amazing too. I wish I remembered their names, because they really did go far and beyond for us.

I could go on and on, but there REALLY were too many to list. AND I can't think of any bad experiences.. we had great times, great food, great CMs.

So, no worries, the magic is still there, and was overflowing for us!
